I've never seen a more incompetent developer than Bungie. What do their hundreds of employees do all day?
How do you go from the amazing Age of Triumph to the dumpster fire that is D2?
They literally removed every improvement they made to D1 when they made D2. What kind of sense does that make?
They had to go free to play because of their own incompetence ffs. Nobody would buy Destiny 2.
This franchise had so much potential. Wtf happened?

They've not went F2P though. They've introduced a Free year 1 (Base Destiny 2 already previously been made free on PS+ and battle net) with the addition of Gambit and Menagerie. If you want to play any year 2 content including exotic quests, subclasses, raids ect you need to purchase Forsaken. Or if you want to play any year 3 content you need to purchase Shadowkeep and then continue buying Season passes to play any of the subsequent seasons content. Since Shadowkeep actually launched, there's only been and increase of around 500k registered players. Bungie stil haven't released figures of just how many genuine A New Light players (without buying any Year 2 or 3 content) there is.

The base game is free to play.

Again.. Year 1 Destiny, ie base, Curse of Osiris and Warmind + Gambit and Menagerie. The base game had already been made free (for a limited time) on Battle net and PS+ prior to Forsaken. That however does not constitute the game being recatagorised as F2P. In order to play Year 2 or 3 content, you're required to purchase the expansions and season passes.

It's like that with every FTP game. D2 is still FTP. Fanboy much?

Tell me what F2P games require you to purchase playable content? An F2P game means you don't need to purchase any passes or dlc, it's Free. Any purchases only open up cosmetic items, That's not fan boy it's called common sense.
