When i said this after the split - was downvoted into oblivion. Truth hurts :)

Activision is a trash company too tho lol. Bungie is not good at the moment with how destiny 2 is but activision is just as bad. Honestly both studios are trash cans.
-
Activision is a bank mate, not a tech/studio. Do you blame the bank when the food at the restaurant is bad? That’s pretty much what everyone’s doing here. Also, do you know what happens irl when a business fails to meet its financial obligations? The bank takes over! Throws everyone out, at best restructures, and liquidates as fast as possible Here activision asked for less than 1/4th of the face value. Bungie couldn’t have it any better.

Activision is a trash bank then man lol. I don’t know how me saying their both trash turned into activision is like a bank mate. No offense not trying to come off like a dick but it was so random.
-
Sure. But the activision trash can can bring in Vicarious Visions, who were responsible for some of the best D2 content. Now its just the Destiverse Shopping Simulator.

Edited by ShaxxLeftNut: 11/21/2019 5:46:46 AMI don’t think activision brought anything good to d2. Curse of Osiris was trash because they moved up the dead line which in term screwed them from fully developing a better story. Warmind was ok just meh at best. Forsaken was good it changed up the game a lot. Activision probably had little influence on any of these dlcs to begin with. Honestly all they both wanted is money I mean hey look at b04 activision sacrifices story mode for battle royale function hmmmmm.
-
Might want to adjust that, Vicarious did the PC port, but it was High Moon Studios that worked on Forsaken.
-
Wasn't scourge of the past and the whisper quest Vicarious Visions?
-
Not sure if they had anything to do with those. They did have something to do with the Season of Opulence, whether it was Menagerie, Crown of Sorrows or even the Tribute Hall/Bad Juju quest I'm unsure. Even when Luke Smith thanked both HM and Vicarious, he only gave them credit for the pc port work and at that time "yet unreleased" content which was season of opulence.

Indeed, let’s remember history: activision and Bungie parted ways because activision’s share price was suffering disproportionately from Bungie’s disappointing sales for too long. Activision, after having taken too many losses due to delays and bungie’s repeated inability to respect their own deadlines, was suffering mounting pressure from shareholders, and potential class actions. At this point, parting was in the best interest. FACT!!!! So in practice, both companies’ best interest was to take a loss. A huge sunk cost for both of them, although significantly bigger loss for Activision, since, you know, they were throwing money at their screen! Bungie’s now head, let’s remember the guy was an online gaming journalist that wrote ONE article, luckily for him on Halo, but has no understanding or experience on how to manage projects and/or a multi billion dollars company. He has no experience out of Bungie, and he is no dev. Fact remains Bungie, desperate for cash not only to cover their debt but to pay the bills, he “secured” some support through Asia by selling a seat on the board to a company who wanted nothing more than a destiny like mobile app for Asia for a starting fee of $100Mln (as opposed to activision’s $500mln). A company that will, unlike activision, not care about the impact of whatever future decisions on the market, since its not theirs. If Bungie was independently listed, its shares would have gone to zero. Worst deal ever. Anyway following Activision’s decision, all star employees (that has not already quit) at Bungie took offers from competition, leaving pij and muffin behind. So Bungie were left with less budget, less workforce, more projects to look after, less star employees. But all these suckers preferred listening to beggars asking them money on the street rather than their own brains. 20years of internet didn’t turn people smarter, if anything it made the truth harder to spread.

You might troll alot, but youre right lmao

You said exactly what I was thinking, word for word, and it caught me off guard. I actually laughed out loud.

It's really a bad investment. When you're looking to invest, you don't just look at the numbers, you also look at the leadership, the people making the decisions. Activision was smart to bail.
-
Activision should have said fire like smith or we walk.
