Thank you to the OP and everyone commenting on this thread. Aside from Imago Loop, do you have any other points of feedback? Thanks!

  • I did make another post, but I’ll post it here as well. First and foremost I had a lot of fun with these events. Considering it was a side story to the main campaign it did very well to not pull the spot light away to early. The story and dialogue was intriguing and kept me engaged. Well done, the team deserves a high five. The moon invasions were a blast to play in. Even though the mechanics were simple enough, the sheer amount of vex flooding out and the amount of effort to bring down the vex lord was perfect. Once the event started, the players flooding in to participate. Plus the loot was overflowing with seasonal armour and weapons. Nice touch. Vex offensive matchmaking event was a gorgeous level design and layout considering how short an amount of time it is going to be around. The idea of a vex garden adds to the mystery of the vex and this environment just adds to it all. Gameplay for the event is good. Fast paced, tons of vex and mini puzzles over different areas is how a good mini event should be. I played it well over 2 dozen times. Well done. Which brings us to the Undying mind. So rather say what others have said, I’m going to take a different approach. Let me lay it out as I highjack the timeline. At the start of the week I hit the tower and venture down to Ikora to get the weekly update of the offensive. I’ve been having fun, and I’m kinda excited to see how this all panning out. Then Ikora goes on with her story and she lays out what the vanguard has done already and what she need the rest of the guardians to carry on. Goosebumps, yep I’m embarrassed for saying this. I already said the story going into this is good. Again high five, well done. So here is where it changes. You gave us a goal and you already demonstrated capability to track that goal. Remember Calus’s challenge for Mars? That was a huge success in my opinion. And should be worked into future content. Ok here is that but a 2.0 version. Give us a number .... say 387’623. This is the number of timelines remaining with the Undying mind present. Community goal set. Next in 2.0 version we have a counter set on the moon map that updates on reset. This is how many times we have left to meet this goal. This engages and drives the community involvement. We are psyched now and preparing our fireteams and load outs. Next is our foe, the legendary Undying mind. It’s evolved through each encounter it has faced us before. This encounter is about it. So we do away with the gameplay before the boss fight and we jump straight in. Same boss arena, same boss mechanics. I’m fine with that. But he is way stronger and smarter than any gate lord we faced before this. Expect a 15min fight. Show these new light players what a raid boss might be like. So just a boss with more hp? Nope, that would be boring. Now we talk about the adds. More, yep more. Flooding in constantly. Extra snipers spawning in higher places. Groups of harpies flying around at 50 feet in the area doing strafing runs with their beam lasers. Groups of minotaurs stomping around. Epic fight get creative. Have the issue of lag be the biggest issue this event has against it. At this time in the season most players will have maximized the benefits of the artifact and can bring in some pretty crazy stuff. Let them really cut loose. On to rewards, this is where you get two birds with one stone. Besides the already generous seasonal armour and weapons drops, you get the emblem showing participation. Agreed. This is nice, almost like getting a medal. But the real reward is “if” the community goal is met. When that happens.... the vanguard congratulates you and says they have arranged something with Tess. Boom 5000 Bright dust. Go buy something you want from Eververse before the season is done. Everyone one wins.

  • Well, if we can’t talk about the lack of a reward with new content then tell me what’s wrong with this poem: Jack and Jill went up a hill to fetch a pale of water. Jack fell down and broke his crown And Jill See there’s a difference between a cliffhanger and something that ships without an end. Thanks for the cliffhanger in the twab, but it probably could’ve been worked into Ikoras speech or the banner at login. Seems like a lot of this could have been avoided with consistent communication.

  • Points of feedback? Like you're genuinely unsure why everyone is so unhappy and need us to point you in that direction? It's the exact same activity, an activity everyone got bored of after two days

  • Revised undying mind strike by going through tower portal

  • Everything could be exactly like it is and everyone would have been somewhat satisfied if the portal lit up and Ikora had a few cut scenes setting up the final assault. I got the message that the final assault was on, and then I beat an orange hydra instead of a minotaur. If that was the plan, I'm surprised it made it through testing. Hopefully next season has a more compelling ending.

  • Maybe actual content? You can tell the fanancial team that they just lost severe profits as I garenteed several people will not be buying the next passes. I mean, Jesus dude, people were expecting to be disappointed with the undying mind D1 boss fight being rereleased. And Bungie dosent even do that, they just throw in a crappy Hydra to replace the original boss? Not even any new mechanics? That's just embarrassing. I don't know how else to describe it. They probably would've been better off straight up releasing nothing. Sorry that you'll be drowning in salt for the next week.

  • I would have like the boss to have a lot more health and deal as much damage as in D1. Splash damage in particular. More aggressive Harpies who really annoy you. Enemies on platforms who snipe down. And maybe even lock weapons and reduced ammo.

  • Heres your -blam!-ing feedback. Stop. Releasing. ANY. Content. Without. Activity. Specific. Rewards. If it doesnt have an attached reward, its an entire waste of -blam!-ing time.

There should have been a way to get a pinnacle drop from this activity. There is no point to doing this activity if you are already 950 power and don't care about the seasonal title. This would have been "ok" if it were just a neat little thing implemented at the beginning - 2 different bosses possible for the vex offensive activity. But having it drop so late in the season means people were expecting a reason for it to drop later such new loot, a new pinnacle drop, something extra that is more exciting than just an "alternative ending" to the activity.

  • Just add an endgame voting system for new updates that the player can let you know how they want the game to be played. Obviously the forums do next to nothing.

Oh yeah, they’re market is in danger of collapsing entirely.

  • Here's a legit question, why do you come on here asking for feedback? You never implement any of it in the game so why waste everyone's time?

  • I have to admit that I was well... expecting...... more. A different arena, an extra level to work through, a different boss mechanic. Could have spiced it up a little bit, but not too much, as in 6 non- communicating randoms geared up for bounties and play to complete there bounties. (case in point, I've been in a couple boss fights that took 6 damage phases)

  • Ikora's bounties are the best, and by not participating in the mechanics you can get them all done extremely fast. I'll miss my xp farm next season.

  • Look at what made the game fun in the early years. A lot of people loved House of wolves and it wasn't even perfect. You had guns that were terribly out of balance I've been playing since you started this game and there are a few things you guys do really wrong that would not be that hard to change. Stop metas. Seriously, quit making one weapon better than all the others. You can balance all four classes very well. Do it and leave them alone. Create single player activity that allows a player to progress. Then design multiplayer activity that allows them to get special bonuses or different weapons that is easy to progress into. Re skins and grinds are not what we want

I would say, don't swap A for B, if A just equals B. Its a waste of resources, I feel like. It'd be like looking at your WELCOME! mat, then seeing another one, slightly different size, different shape, but says Please Wipe Your Feet, and feeling the need to swap to it. Its a waste of resources to do so... time, money and energy. Bad analogy, but I think it gets the point across. I went into the Final Assault, actually quite excited to see a new boss, and something I fought dozens of times in D1 for an Imago Loop. So, just 3 minutes after reset, I hopped into it... new boss! New title! I thought to myself... only to do the same first two rounds of Vex Offensive. No problem, I told myself, just lets me get to the new boss faster! And, so, with my matchmade fireteam, in the same power level required activity, doing the same thing as the weeks prior, got to the same final boss arena... I plant my raid banner in excitement, and notice I now plant a transmat beacon. Cool, let's do it! And, I did... as I saw this twitchy, patchwork portal blip into existence, and the Undying Mind crawl out. I got excited. What new attacks will it do? What new tactics will be involved in taking this thing down, despite being in the same boss arena? Is my loadout okay? Will it alter how I play? Let's find out... what you gonna d- wait... w-where you going? Big hydra? Why you going down... to that... one spot? And so, it played out just like the Gate Lord fight. Except you could get killed by Pagouri's suicide assets of last season. No new loot. No pinnacle drops for 3 weeks. No new enemies... mechanics... or areas. And, worst of all, no reason to play it beyond 3 times. =/

  • The very fact that you have to ask this question just proves how disconnected the Bungie team is. Like don’t use the same area for a seasonal event when there is something being put together in the tower. WTF is the point of having it in there if it doesn’t mean shot? Make a new area that shit should be common -blam!-ing sense.

  • So, aside from the actual playable event, one of the tag lines was that this week "Ikora would finish building the portal" that is behind her in the tower. I've played MMOs for years and always enjoyed seeing the in-game world around me evolve. It was interesting to see the Festival decorations go up, then come down. It's interesting to see NPCs look and behave differently based on the storyline. So what about the portal this week is "finished" compared to last week? I logged in Tuesday afternoon and couldn't tell you. I still see what looks like a half constructed ring with missing panels. I see nameless welders still hard at work. What changed? My point is when you promise your audience something is going to happen and nothing does....well it's like when a horror movie builds up a scene with tense music showing a character about to open a closet door. Then the door opens and they casually reach in for a jacket. Kind of a let down.
