It wasnt nerfed directly. It was the rampage that got nerfed which has affected the weapon.

As the fire rate goes up the impact goes down to match the archetype of the same fire rate. Ex firing at 600rpm will give the impact and base damage of a 600 rmp auto rifle plus the percentage boost from rampage. This only effects the gun in PVE though
