Fusions are good right now because of all the apes. Shoulder Charge, shotguns, and even over zealous arc battery hunters thinking they're invincible. If the meta shifts to a slower playstyle, fusions will probably struggle.

I dont think you understand the point of why ppl want nerfs of erentil...if your running in a straight line trying to get a shoulder charge off or bum rush with a shotgun you have every right to blast with an Fusion . Its the fact it completely renders primaries useless inside its kill box of 40m.

Instead of just playing smarter they beg Bungie for unnecessary nerfs.

You have every right to do whatever is necessary to kill a shotgun ape.
-
If im aping with a shotgun and i get fusioned i wont be mad. Im mad when im shooting a erentil user with my primary and he blasts me. All i ask for Erentil is to have flinch if its gonna be used like that.
Its the fact it completely renders primaries useless inside its kill box of 40m.
Oh really? Then we can just call off the upcoming nerf to the Recluse?
-
Recluse was a Pc problem which console is suffering from. I dont have a problem with Recluse.
-
But the fact that it is getting a nerf kind of invalidates the prior statement of primaries being useless inside of 40m.

You need to use your brain a little harder.
-
You need to use your brain a little harder.
I am. You need to take a logic class so that you can stop making weak statements. You're making a Negative Universal statement when you should be making a Negative Particular statement. I'll translate with crayon so you can understand.
Its the fact it completely renders primaries useless inside its kill box of 40m.
No weapon that is not a special weapon is useless within 40m. If you had said that it renders many primary weapons useless within 40m, I would have agreed with you. However you made a No statement instead of an Some statement. Do you want me to continue?
-
Its a -blam!-ing submachine gun....
-
Which is still a primary weapon that uses the same ammo as any primary ammo weapon...and wrecks completely within the 40m deadline that you imposed.
-
You can kill players at even 50 meters with it, it just doesn’t happen in-game like people think. Most of the time you’re getting killed within 25 meters.

Edited by Fish: 11/17/2019 8:53:24 PMOh here's a fun one. I hear the fusion rifle charging. I see the fusion rifle charging. I'm now tasked with a very difficult option. Do I challenge or get behind this cover right next to me. Ah -blam!- it, I'll challenge. I died.
-
Your logic makes no sense.

Honestly. Oh no he shot me from forty meters away. Guess I shouldn't run in a straight line.
Honestly. Oh no he shot me from forty meters away. Guess I shouldn't run in a straight line.
40m OHKs with no team fire almost never happen and when they do it’s because your target is standing still looking in another direction.

Fusion rifles are heavily underrated. You can tell by the data and how a compitent player uses them. Over half of the time you try to dodge a compitent Erentil user, you die anyways. Try and bait them with cover and sometimes peer-to-peer connection says 'no, you weren't behind cover' and its big hitbox gets you killed. If the Erentil player is team-shooting or camping, that gets especially annoying. And sound cues are not a good way to determine when to push them. Let's say you're in a 1v1 scenario and they're winning. If they're camping in a good spot where they can easily move if they need to and you can't get a good view of them, you are forced to make a risky push or you're likely to give them the win. If this happens in a round-based mode and their little spot is by a capture point, unless you're using something as lethal as Erentil as well, you're stuck in a very one-sided situation. That particular scenario is based on personal experience coming from a Legend Glory player.

a legendary fusion that can switch up, and can kill up 25-40 meters without dealing with the slow charge is incredibly broken. It should of stayed a exotic perk from destiny 1.
a legendary fusion that can switch up, and can kill up 25-40 meters without dealing with the slow charge is incredibly broken. It should of stayed a exotic perk from destiny 1.
🤣🤣 you can’t just swap and hit a kill that long. That’s just a meme, with nothing to back it up. Using backup plan means you have to GIVE UP a powerful range perk. Even with the powerful range perk you aren’t consistently getting 1HKs past 25m. No one is. You are consistently getting kills at under 25m by players who push fusions over and over because all they do is ape. Then they come here and complain they got “mapped” and beg for a nerf the sandbox doesn’t need because they don’t want to make simple adaptations. Next will be snipers because players get killed by one and still spend the whole game running through doorways into lanes. The high impact fusions aren’t broken, at all, the people playing against them are just refusing to adapt. That’s not a good reason to nerf a weapon that is a part of the sandbox ecosystem and isn’t at all overpowered.
-
Yeah, I think you should adapt personally. Coming from an average player that never dies to fusions rifles.

Edited by Lord Magris: 11/18/2019 12:01:05 AM
Coming from an average player that never dies to fusions rifles.
Must not be an average player or having average experiences then. Erentil is the 5th most popular special weapon in PvP. That means it's a Top 5 pick. If you're not dying to it or even encountering it at all, then lucky you. I've slain plenty of players with fusions on console, even with ones less popular than Erentil. You should know that everyone is just too crazy about shotguns and snipers right now, especially on PC. Everyone likes using guns that shoot instantly but no one ever considers how lethal fusions actually are if you can pace yourself. If fusions were more popular, lots of players would see that. There are still players out there 'discovering' the Erentil in Crucible. Heavily underrated.
