All of those ranges are where fusion rifles should kill, they're a mid range weapon ffs. If anything firmly planted shouldn't work as well as it does with Erentil, its otherwise fine. Btw each good fusion are or were a 4 bolt kill, you don't see Main Ingredient unless its god roll for damage output. They nerf high impact fusions too much it's just going hard shift the meta, and this is a horrible idea.

35m isn’t medium range by destiny standards, AVERAGE engagement distance in this game (on console) is 22m. The average lane is around that 35ish m, fusions are meant to punish primary’s in close distance (0-22m), not to OHK bodyshot them in their ideal range 20-30m, everything has a place and ideal range, erentil breaks this because it covers 90% of engagement distances and its able to OHK to the body in all of them.

You don't know fusions, they aren't ideal in close range especially with anything moving fast. That is unless you have backup plan, but that doesn't help with range. I've always mapped people with every good fusion rifle this game has had, the only problem with Erentil is firmly planted.

I have 1500 fusion kills, I know plenty on how they work. Fusions are literally better then anything else except shotguns within 10m. And if firmly planted was the only problem with erentil why is the Y1 roll capable of consistent 25-30m kills, why isn’t wizened rebuke with firmly planted mapping at 35m like erentil with out it (FYI it’s not firmly planted). The problem is that it’s the only fusion that can roll with long zoom scopes and it has better recoil direction then wizened. The guns busted sorry not sorry, you don’t want your crutch to be balanced.

[/quote] As someone else who knows how fusions work, then please explain how I've been gunned down by Recluse before I can even get a shot off with my fusion? I had a backup plan roll and was at full health. Before I can even get the shot off, I'm dead. The cause? Recluse. We ran into each other at the same time, swapped weapons at the same time, but his recluse beat out my backup plan fusion. So please, enlighten me.
