In all seriousness it’s actually incredibly easy and quick to get to the conclusion that we are or are in a simulation.

First just let me say that I’m not saying that I assume this to be the case and most will say that the idea sounds a bit crazy, but the assumptions required to reach this conclusion are not. First, it requires simply acknowledging what neuroscience says about our brains. That it’s just information processing, similar to a computer/hard drive. That there’s nothing “magical” or supernatural about it. This is how most scientists, especially neuroscientists view the human brain. With that being said, then all it requires is recognizing that we currently have already created simulations. It’s our video games, for one example. One is literally called The Sims. We’ve created thousands. Albeit simple and crude by comparison, but simulations nonetheless. The technologically for which will do nothing but get more advanced and sophisticated, as technology does. And we’re just one civilization creating thousands of simulations. So it only takes one real universe to create thousands of simulated ones. Or more. And just like that it would seem that that simulated universes would far outnumber real universes. Thus our chances of being in a simulated universe as opposed to a real universe would be much higher.
