Bungie: Universal Ornaments are ornaments that you can apply to any armor.
Also Bungie: But only Eververse Armor Sets will be used as Universal Ornaments

That's another solution, if we could turn armor into one time usee ornaments instead of dismantling that would be great. Could have an item that converts the gear to an ornament upon use.

I think we could have it both ways, though: Say that you pick up, I dunno, the Devastation Complex chest piece. You can convert it into a one-time-use universal ornament. However, if you fill in the "Devastation Complex" set in your collections, you can go to your collections and select "redeem as universal ornament set" and have unlimited access to the Devastation Complex ornament set.

Yea I guess, if you have already obtained it then yea if would be nice to be able to pull it out of your collections. It doesn't matter how they do it, as long as we can farm for good stat rolls AND look fresh af ........... I'm good.

Two of the IB ornaments from year one can be used. Same with crucible ornaments.

What about Players only got in with Y2, or that like the Y2 armor? F*ck em, I guess. All you get to have is the ornaments from Y1, specifically on a remake of the Y1 armor.
