Pretty sure shes been redacted from the story.
The new light players dont vet a glimpse of her in the destiny 1 mission end scene, like we did in D1 proper

I think that the new light version of the story mission isn’t meant to be a redo, it’s meant to be an origin for the new players. To people who played from the beginning, the stranger was there, but to the new guardians who are being woken up now, the exo stranger wouldn’t be there because all that’s already happened, which is why you fly to the city and it’s post-red war.

Fair enough, but 3 years without a single mention doesnt lend credibility to her coming back

We’ve had mentions very recently actually. During warmind we’ve had a few mentions and one of the meetings with the Queen insinuates that she is meeting with the stranger

Mara says in one of the meetings with her that she is off to meet a new friend and quotes this new friends as saying “a side should always be chosen, even if it’s the wrong side” - there was also a piece of lore that dropped during warmind that confirmed she is Ana brays sister. So she has been mentioned at least twice that I’m aware of

What about the cut scenes with her during the story?

In destiny 2? Is she even in any cutscenes? To my knowledge she hasn't been in anything since vanilla D1

She’s not in D2 but she was in a few cutscenes in D1 besides the end.

No cutscenes but on Io there is a scannable object (a broken Vex gate in the Lost Oasis IIRC) where your Ghost will mention her wondering whatever happened to her.

Yeah that doesnt matter anymore lol. I think they've written her out, especially since shes not in the D1 remake mission. I'd like her to come back, but I dont think she will.

Gotcha. Yeah I didn’t know how much they cut if her in new light seeing as she was kinda of a major character in that “campaign”.

I mean, she was [i]supposed[/i] to be a major character. If I'm remembering correctly, you see her after the beginning cutscene, then she meets you on venus *insert your preferred no time to explain joke here* and she leaves Then she finds you after the black garden final mission and hands you a gun.

Wait. I’m dumb. I kept thinking the D1 campaign was in D2🤦♂️. On that note, technically new light players are a new gen of guardians..even tho we were found in the cosmodrome. So the stranger still exists in !but only vets have met her.
