Crucible should be separated from the real game. It's very obnoxious for the many many people who hate crucible

  • Your opinion of “the real game” is subjective. Many would say crucible is “the real game” and pve is just a side job.

  • Yes cause insulting the other argument is a mature way to go about things. Then again I can’t be surprised, won’t be able to find an ounce of intelligence in these forums even if I looked with a magnifying glass. Judging from your profile, you don’t touch pvp and that’s fine really. I do both but prefer pvp and that’s not bad, sorry to burst your bubble of insecurity when I say that a lot of the playerbase plays destiny solely for the pvp experience and looks at pve as a side job.

  • And yet 80% of the content is PvE. Your math does not work.

  • Not about how much of the game is this or that. Many people play destiny 2 solely for the pvp and do pve when they absolutely have to. Sorry to burst your bubble

  • I know there are quite a few unintelligent folks in the world. Playing a PvE game for PvP purposes directly shows that.

  • Again. At most, and this is generous, 20% of the content is PvP. Players are not playing the majority of the game. Clearly are missing the point of the game and ALL the game has to offer. Apparently you feel that is smart thinking. We will never see eye to eye.

  • Again how much of the game is pvp and pve means nothing to someone who ENJOYS pvp more than pve. It’s all about preference and I can tell you that there is a large majority of people who prefer pvp opposed to pve.

  • So as a PvE preferred player I would enjoy fortnight or call of duty because of the great storylines and lore those games have to offer. Wrong those are PvP games even though they have PvE elements to them.

  • I think you’re mixing up that both of those games are shooters are not mmorpg games like Destiny 2 that not only has pve but a well rounded pvp experience that a lot prefer. You’re really not getting it aren’t you

  • your own words.
Not a pve game if it has pvp, bud.
so those games using your own theory. are not PvP games BECAUSE they have PvE. so I should be able to enjoy them (and enjoy the PvE aspects) just as much as any other PvE game, correct? your theory of course.

  • You’re twisting it up. They are not SOLEY pvp games, Fortnite (at least the battle Royale mode) is entirely free and on its own is its own entity so making that connection to Fortnite save the world is not a good one. Even then, someone can only get fortnite for the pve and don’t care for the battle royale. To each their own. Destiny 2’s pvp and pve are interlocked wether that’s a good thing or not, someone can enjoy the pvp without wanting to play pve and saying destiny 2 is solely a pve game is just inherently false.

  • I'm not twisted you can't see through the forest. Destiny 2 is a PvE based game - that is the primary function. The PvP aspects are a foot note - that does not make it a PvP game. The PvP aspects that this game has can completely be removed from the game and will not effect game play: Storyline - not PvP Strikes - not PvP Nightfall - not PvP Planets/public events/lost sectors - not PvP Raids - not PvP Lore collection - the few crucible locations can be removed without greatly effecting. Menagerie - not PvP I have never played it but is Vex Offensive a new permanent PvE activity with it's own icon - going to add it to the list of Not PvP Gambit is a co-op (as I was corrected) which the main focus is PvE while PvP is added to stall forward PvE progress. (PvP foot note) All that is left - Crucible - PvP - removal of which will not effect the above. I think that covers pretty much all activities this game has.
Many people play destiny 2 solely for the pvp and do pve when they absolutely have to.
how do you justify PvP as the primary activity when so little is PvP - and how do you claim interlocked when "many people play D2 solely for the PVP" as clearly PvP is separate from PvE.

Correction: Vex Offensive is not permanent and as far as my knowledge presides, it will be removed at the end of the season or some time in the future. I see your point but saying destiny 2 is a pve ONLY game and that’s all that matters is wrong. Yes it’s pve focused I can agree with that much but many people may buy the game for the pvp experience. When I say they are interlocked I mean whatever changes may happen in pvp can and will effect pve (weapon balancing etc etc) and likewise. As well as if you want this weapon then you need to play pve and if you want that weapon then play pvp. That’s not the case in games like Fortnite and CoD
