It's terrible. Skill based matchmaking should only be active in Comp not every game mode. They say it's not in Classic Mix but I see a tonnn of stacked Unbroken teams vs casual players. Fusion rifles rival the range of scouts sometimes, the handcannon range nerf directly put us into a boring slow scout meta, the amount of OHK weapons in the game is getting ridiculous. There's a ton wrong with it.

Congratulations, you discovered SBMM doesn't ever operate as expected.

Edited by Lord_Shar: 11/6/2019 11:03:48 PMSBMM has to factor connection quality and current available player pool. SBMM makes a bigger impact in the Free Lance queue since the game can mix and match players until both sides have a similar Glory average. In the regular queue, matching options are much more constrained, so if you are the best qualified group to go against a full Unbroken team at matchmaking time despite your rank being < Fabled, then you will get the dreaded stacked pairing. Connections are still factored, so there are two similarly skilled groups matching on opposite ends of the Earth, then the game will not connect them if latency exceeds a preset threshold.

Yep we called it ! SBMM should only be in Comp but nope everyone wanted it on.. now does everyone understand why crucible players didn't want it turned on in the first place? 😂😂👏👏
Skill based matchmaking should only be active in Comp not every game mode
No. CBMM in Classic alone is good. Only 1 stomp fest mode is needed.
Fusion rifles rival the range of scouts sometimes
Only like 2 rolls can do this.
the handcannon range nerf directly put us into a boring slow scout meta
So it was OK to have Hand Cannon in Scout Range? The hypocrisy is strong

Edited by X-LoganX: 11/6/2019 3:47:00 PMLol. Such a toxic answer from an entitled basement dweller. I have 30 years of gaming experience. 20 years if that with FPS pvp shooters. I've been here since D1. I don't play comp because I don't play to sweat and it's garbage matchmaking anyway. I have as much right to my opinion as anyone. It's people like you that make forums a toxic and I intolerable environment. Shut your elitist hole and let others speak. Seems your only attacking because I'm right and you don't like my answers.

No ones saying you cant have an opinion. Just saying it doesn’t have very much weight when you don’t play comp and aren’t very good at crucible.
No ones saying you cant have an opinion

...your opinion is null and void here sir...
That's what was said so don't tell me no one's saying that. Also...more assumption and judgements. There are plenty more people who come in lower than me so you can keep your judgements. Not everything needs to be about Glory and KD. That's just a kids mentality. None of that makes by opinion invalid. Especially not because I stay out of Comp. I still play regular and IB. As I said, I've been here since Day 1 D1 and there I played more PVP than PVE because it was a better ecperience. D2 PVP has been a terrible experience from the start and the current MM that favors stacked teams and stomping is by no means fun to a mid-tier player. So yes I play it less. All and all I'm trying to give opinions and suggestions to improve the experience for mid-tier players. It's not easy when we get judges by the elitists. SBMM needs to be in place (in most playlists) to allow a more even playing field for mid-tier players. There's not denying that Classic is full of pub-stompers and Comp is all stacked teams. Where do mid-teir players have any fun?

Sweats run stacked in classic because they go there to escape sbmm, which completely defeats the purpose of having it be connection-based lol. The whole thing is so dumb.
-
You know what else is dumb? Blaming the game for getting your ass handed to you.
-
Lmao. Kinda like how the bad players blamed the game for them getting their asses handed to them until matchmaking was changed, huh?

Think about this for a second: Does skill even matter if you're playing against a group of people using a tinfoil antenna connected to a potato to get Wi-Fi? Would you rather get legitimately beaten, or lose because of a bunch of teleporting, lagging pieces of garbage?
