I’ve been having a heated debate with one of my friends if physics is a math subject or a science subject. He thinks that since you do math in it, it’s a math subject. But I said that math classes are based around certain types of math (i.e. Calculus is based around calculus and so on). Although it does involve math, I believe that Physics is a science subject because it uses math to predict and test ideas about how physical phenomena behave. But once you tell him that it involves math, he just says “so then it’s a math class”

Math just really teaches you how. Science, and by extent, physics is an application of why you learn math.
