I think there should be a Pokemon game like Breath of the Wild.

The wild area in sword and shield is probably them testing out how open world would work.

No. The Wild Area seems to be an open world area, but other than that it’s always been pretty strictly linear—at least out of the ones I’ve played. And on that note, a single open area in an otherwise linear game is fine by me, but I do [i]nor[/i] want an open world Pokémon game. Ever!

Theres like a million pokemon games and a million more to come, I'm sure they can spare 1 to try something different instead of the same shit all the time.

If you’re talking a spinoff, sure, but when you say “Like BotW” that implies you want them to toss their formula and make the next main series Pokémon game a generic open world. No thanks to that, I say.

I mean, if it looked like Breath of the Wild I could go for that. But if it played like it too I wouldn’t care for it. I didn’t like BotW’s vagueness in its objectives. I prefer even the newer Pokemon games to it

I was going for more open world like BotW and not the generic versions we've been getting. Just one massive world where we go through the different regions and all that jazz. Be a massive undertaking though.

So kinda what GTA6 is supposed to be like? Yeah I can go for that. Though you’re right about it being a massive undertaking though. It already seems like Game Freak is tired of making Pokemon games as it is so it probably won’t happen, unfortunately.
