For the record, I play on console.
Wasn't really a fan of BrayTech Winter Wolf back then. Heard lots of other auto rifle connoisseurs say that it was really nice for a precision frame. To me, it lacked my taste in combat utility. I like weapons I can use at both close and medium/average ranges very effectively. A lot of the times I used it, I felt like I was missing a lot of shots and getting punished for it, perhaps due to its recoil and range stat. Zen Moment would've helped me a lot if I actually landed my shots. I don't know, it just didn't feel that sticky back then.
But here comes BrayTech Werewolf, rising from another life. I managed to score a good random roll on it with Arrowhead Brake, Ricochet Rounds, Tap the Trigger, Under Pressure and a reload masterwork. I put a Counterbalance Stock mod on it and wow, just wow. This thing feels sticky. And it shoots so straight, I can pepper an enemy really far with it while holding down the trigger.
I've been seeing a lot of mixed reviews on the gun, but if you're a fan of auto rifles, you should at least try and get yourself a few random rolls before the event ends. It's easy to grind for and you have a lot of time, so you shouldn't miss it.
And it glows in the dark. Glowhoo if it were a gun.

I hate how it sounds so I’m really disappointed that it was the big reward. It’s like getting socks for Christmas.
-
Just got mine today haven’t played around with random rolls yet. I been mainly using Horror Story for literally everything since last year. This is my first time switching away from it. Any godly rolls to look for?
-
Just like Horror Story from last year, the Werewolf is a damn good gun. The curated roll is a freaking laser beam. That kind of AR was definitely needed on console with such a heavy focus on ARs this season in regards to the Artifact. The Werewolf brings PC levels of recoil (or lack thereof) to console. I just wish Bungie would tone down recoil for ARs, SMGs, LMGs, and Sidearms on console just a tad though across the board. Or, for my clan to all switch to PC....

I’ll be honest I love Winter Wolf but Werewolf is a Winter on steroids. Though with the damage autos do compared to tons of other weapons is laughable. Autos still need another buff.
-
That's the experience I remember. That the Braytech Winter Wolf was a very stable and very accurate weapon that was one of the best ARs that came out of Y1 D2's "fixed rolls" era. the only ARs that were in its league were Origin Story and the infamous "Uriel's Gift". If the Werewolf plays similiarly, anyone who gives that weapon a bad review either: 1. Just doesn't like ARs, or... 2. Is comparing it to pinnacle weapons like Recluse or Breakneck...and therefore their expectations are off.
-
Mine has dynamic sway reduction with stability masterwork. Range is already nearly maxed out. Stability is nearly there as well. I swear the reticule doesn't move at all when shooting that thing. Pretty much getting rid of my Halfdan for autos now.
-
Caste is superior to it in EVERY way. Just use Caste
-
I would use it if it was a 600 RPM. Not a fan of the 450 RPM autos, they feel to clunky to me.

Edited by Robotyze: 11/2/2019 1:41:58 PMI'm using the curated one in Master NFs and the range combined with Zen Moment helps a lot. Not to mention Multikill Clip is icing on the cake. Looks so different as well. Overall a good weapon.
-
I think the scope kinda sucks. Otherwise...its alright.
-
I like it
-
I have a Ringing Nail with the Satou Scope, High Cal rounds, Tap the Trigger and Zen Moment, with a Range MW. Things a damn laser beam, love it.

Edited by epicperon: 11/2/2019 12:10:19 AMEh. It’s not bad, but I don’t care for it much. Could be that I’m just going off of the curated roll, which is kinds bad. I’m certainly not going to use it over my Blast Furnace. And I don’t get why people hate the sound. It’s literally the D1 auto rifle sound. It makes me feel nostalgic and I love it
-
All I can say is that at least it sounds and looks better than tigerspite. Not saying much, as all AR's tend to sound pretty wimpy. Valakadyn sounds cool though. Looking for an outlaw/kill clip werewolf to replace my tigerspite of the same rolls. Ideally flared magwell and a stability or range masterwork as well.
-
It's a beautiful gun....but the DAMN SOUND....
-
I cannot stand the scope or the sound . But love the look and feel and how it does work . :) But damn that scope damn you.
-
Yep. Only drawback is that it sounds horrible, and the scope is kinda meh.
-
how do you get it? I havent played since sunday
