It's definitely good for activities that you're meant to grind--public events, strikes, etc. The only issue comes in when every single activity in the game becomes mindless and boss-fights are nothing more than ammo-dumps. There should be a mix of challenging activities and activities where our accrued power lets us stomp everything in sight.
