Well the Traveler better start showing more visions if it wants us to stay loyal

Because: - Re-Animating you and every other guardian - Giving us Super human abilities - A free willed companion for all - Choosing us to receive even more ways to express our light - Not forcing or telling us what to do - Respects individuality. - Unlocking the potential in humanity to experience a golden age of technological enhancement in our understandings of advanced science. Yeah. I guess we have no reason to trust the Traveler and instead choose the side of our foes that want to kill us and everything dead.

Most of those could be chalked up as defense mechanisms. Like antibodies. The free willed companion tries to tell you what you should do. Ascending humanity could have just been a "let's see what happens" deal. Not saying side with the Darkness and I'm not saying side with The Light. We have reason to trust it...just not to the extent that some think we should.

Yes the companion souls are most likely biased because they hold the mystical essence of ''Light''. Though through multiple showcases in the lore, we have seen many different personalities to each of them. One from my most recent memory that left on impact on me was finding Tolands ghost. Having full faith that Tolend will transcend death and become something other, with his only regret being he won't live to see it. Our ghost also got quite moody with the queen during the weeks of forsaken. I have full faith in the Traveler. It has done nothing wrong and has given humanity a fighting chance to defend our homeland. I have zero trust in a race that is/has: - Driving Eris crazy - Creating nightmares of our past foes - Invaded our ghost Shell - Have an armada pointing towards our solar system. - Already attacked us before.

Again, not saying I support the Darkness, if it culled rather wiped out species then I’d understand but it doesn’t And it doesn’t matter what they say in the book about how events happen or what it’s motivations are but it’s belief that the Traveler will bring about untold suffering through immortal life and how immortals will scheme and plot bringing more suffering, which we have seen in the Awoken Distributary with their wars The Traveler gives its blessings freely, completely blind to how it’s recipients use it, the Traveler itself doesn’t cause atrocities but it sure dies enable them Both Light and Dark must be destroyed

There will always be suffering, strife and many other problems no matter the civilization. What's important is that the Traveler respects individuality among all other things. That seems to be key important part you've yet to understand. The most important part for any civilization is the freedom to do what they want, with what they have. There is a moment in the Fallen Nessus strike where our Ghost remarks that he always forgets how big Exodus Black really is and then Failsafe is all calm/dreamy saying ''As big as our dreams, we where going to take humanity to the stars''. That right there is the essence of bias the light shows our way too. By enhancing our innocence in our dreams and to push them forward. ''The light abandoned Cayde, left him for dead''. Ha! No F U. This literally showcases how much those who follows the darkness does not care about individuality. Cayde had entered the creepy taken forest before us and at that time was most likely gifted the 1000 cuts super. The traveler could not change his fate but it could at least arm him with a fighting chance. Cayde is at Heart a lone wolf, adventurous and a risk taker. The traveler respected that. There is no need to destroy the traveler.

I think you’ve seriously misunderstood shin’s motivations, he’s not a zealot of the Light, he knows that walking the line between Light and Dark is our only chance at survival
