Can you please clarify what your issue is? Are you saying that the characters shown on your attached Steam account aren't your characters from Blizzard? https://www.bungie.net/en/Gear/3/4611686018468698313/2305843009354364214 https://www.bungie.net/en/Gear/3/4611686018468698313/2305843009300798710 Both characters have several Legendary and Exotic pieces of equipment. Are you saying your licenses didn't transfer? What exactly is your issue?

  • I am saying that I cannot link that existing Blizzard account to my existing steam account because of some bug where bungie thinks that I somehow linked a separate bungie account to my steam already when I didn't. So when I try to play destiny 2 on that steam account it has no characters and none of the DLC. THis is the error i am getting when trying to link with steam: TRANSFER ERROR You are attempting to transfer a Battle.net account to a Steam Account that has already been migrated. ##pcmigration.ThisSteamAccountHasAlready## You can resolve this by: Unlink Steam User Gorrest Fump Create a new Steam Account Migrate GorrestFump#11504 to your new Steam Account It seems like a lot of other players are getting this due to a bug in the PC transfer but Bungie just chooses to ignore it

  • I don't think you understood what I was asking. The characters you see there, the ones that I linked to, are already on the Steam account that you, yourself, set up with the Migration; they're on the Steam account that you, yourself, linked to Bungie.net. Why, exactly, are you attempting to Migrate again after you already successfully Migrated? If you're not seeing the characters that are on prominent display on your Bungie.net profile, then you're logged into a Steam account on your Steam client that is different from the one that you, yourself, linked to your Bungie.net profile (and set up for Migration). So, is the issue that you migrated to the wrong Steam account? Or is the issue that you don't see the characters on your Steam account when you're logged in on the Steam client? Both answers end up being the same base result; you set up the Migration with the Steam account and told the system that you were sure that's the account to use, so it used it. However, if your issue is that you don't see your characters while logged into your Steam account, and you cannot find your characters that have been successfully Migrated, then I can try to work with you to figure out exactly which Steam account you set up for Migration so you can access the characters.

  • how is it you are expending more energy than -blam!-ing bungie to try and help people? While I, and hundreds of others just had a product they paid for, stolen from them.

  • It sounds like he’s having the same problems many of are having. I have only one steam account and only one battle.net account. I tried linking them together following the steps laid out by bungie and it said it was successful. But when I logged in to destiny 2 it said I had no characters or owned no DLC which I bought while destiny 2 was with blizzard. So now when I try to re link my 1 and only steam and battle.net account it says I already migrated so I can’t anymore. So let me say it again I somehow have already linked my accounts but yet none of my stuff transferred over but bungie wants to say it our faults so create a new account. I’m sorry no you guys need to fix it. I have paid for and have too many games on my steam account to have to go and make a new because you guys won’t acknowledge your mess up.

  • It is now linked to a Steam account because I gave up and made a new account just for D2 because I can see by the 100's of threads with a similar topic that Bungie is not even willing to acknowledge this bug.

I did believe you. I was thanking you for letting me know that you used the new Steam account resolution to fix the problem you were having; that wasn't in your original post. I'll elaborate because you seem to think I was brushing you off when I wasn't. - Those threads you linked are of people with an issue I, myself, don't have the ability to take care of. You can see from their Bungie.net profiles that they don't have their proper characters showing up on the attached Steam account, while yours did. Here's some threads for you to show why I was trying to help -you-. https://www.bungie.net/en/Forums/Post/253987655?sort=0&page=0 https://www.bungie.net/en/Forums/Post/253954144?sort=0&page=0 There are a few others. For those people, their characters were showing up as on their Bungie.net-attached Steam account (like yours did); what those people didn't realize is that when they were setting up for Migration, they ended up using an alternate account (sometimes an old account that they forgot about) and then wondered why they didn't see their characters on their Steam. I assisted those people in figuring out that the characters were on a different account and then helped them figure out how to get into that account in order to play the game with their beloved. I can understand the frustration of wanting to play a game and spending money on it only for something major to go wrong. I understand that you're irritated and upset about the issue that you had to work around to fix. Please try to understand that my attempt to assist you was based purely on the fact that your characters were showing up on the Steam account attached to your profile. You did not update your original post saying you had employed the new Steam account resolution, so as such, I was helping with the information I had available. Good luck, Guardian. I know you've had a rough time with the Migration issue, but I hope you can still enjoy the game you've worked so hard to play.

  • But making a new account just for destiny 2 is not a fix, it's a workaround because bungie can't bring themselves to actually try to fix the issue for all players. I have seen only one post where a bungie help team member actually fixed some shit and gave one guy his characters and dlc back when the migration took them away for no reason. Just one. I sent a ticket asking for help on my issue about Forsaken and my characters not transferring to Steam. That was 6 days ago and i have not heard from anyone since about the issue.

  • To be fair ... there are TONS of bugs and issues to fix since - rather than testing and UAT like in a normal software dev cycle - they just posted a bunch of vids of the devs playing the game instead of looking for bugs and snafus (also, this is heavy in sarcasm since I agree with OP that they don't give a flying F about the player base outside of streamers)
