I just left a clan where the founder only ran with the same ONE individual, every single day.
But he sent out clan invites like candy. It seemed to be all about his ego, than the clan itself. Never played with anyone else.
Hopefully you wont be that kind of founder! 100 to me is enough, but 200 will take some micro- managing.

As a Clan founder, I let everyone know that I am 99% solo. Sure I will jump in some strikes or Crucible but for the most part A lot of people want to chase certain items that I have no interest in. With every new season oh, I have to run a purge in order to bring more active players into the clan. I can assure you it's not about ego on my part, my clan is full of able-bodied Guardians willing to chase whatever items new members are wanting.

If Your A 99% Solo Player Whats The Point In Having A Clan?

Well for one it's a great way to make new friends! It's also awesome to have healthy competitions between clanmates. I do tend to help newbies with certain missions that they have issues with and that's quite satisfying. My door is always open and I will allow any Clan mate to join me but sadly the way I play the game is not one that most people enjoy. I kind of make an RPG out of this as best I can LOL

as someone in his clan i can say that he usually joins raids and helps out people with quests/bounties even if someone just joined recently

That makes excellent clan mates/leadership. It also helps when solo players that join clans speak up. They're so use to playing solo, they never ask for help or simply talk to others. I understand it's not the founders fault. It's up to us all.
