Take your complaint up with Steam. They censored you, not Bungie

This is not true - Upon contacting Steam, they are saying this is an issue with Destiny 2, and not them.

Yeah, no. That stems from one guy who mocked up a fake report to try and smear Bungie or protect Steam for whatever reason. I called him out on his lie, and he vanished. 100% Steam

I'm curious as to understand why many people think this is purely a Steam issue with no evidence (Nor what appears to be experience using Steam) to support your claim. Frankly, it's coming off a super defensive, and not helpful at all. I guess I will contact Steam myself and see what can be done. First attempt, there was no way for me to contact them about issues with them game, as support related to this game is handle by Bungie (Go figure, no surprise there). But I will try and find an avenue to see.

First off, Bungie has literally no history of censoring gamertags. Second, the first person to report this had the word "lesbian" censored, and with how much white male hate these forums experienced last week when one gay person said he was happy, alongside Bungie's history of supporting LGBTQ rights, there's no reason for them to do it. Third, and probably most consequential, is that this phenomenon began immediately following the switch from Battlenet to Steam, with only PC players being affected. Seems pretty solid to me

Correlation does not equal Causation. Yes, obviously there is something go on here with Steam, but have you considered the following? - Developer implementing Steam's SDK incorrectly - A simple bug in the Steam SDK version The first was is very likely, and if you've played any of the thousands of other Steam games, you'll realize it's quite obvious that "Danish" and "Paladin" should not be censored. Take a look at this conversation on Steam: https://steamcommunity.com/app/1085660/discussions/0/1628539187762014311/?ctp=7 and less important, an article that summarizes what's going on: https://www.gamerevolution.com/news/603049-destiny-2-name-censoring-gets-players-raging-bungie-steam-blame
