Dude, you either are blind or have bad reading comprehension. It clearly says right in the maintenance notes:
"Destiny 1 and 2 services are back online, and Destiny 2 Update 2.6.0.1 has begun rolling out across all platforms and regions."
Where does it say anything about Destiny 1 getting updated? Jeez dude you need to comprehend before coming with conclusions.

According to your post millennial, you didn't comprehend the purpose of the thread or the maintenance. https://www.bungie.net/en/Help/Article/13125 Try and learn from your own logic. Since you clearly need help identifying the basics too? The topic is in the original post. Either get with THAT program or go back to off topic.

Literally the topic of your thread specifically says "Destiny 1 moon will be updated". Which in turn states that the moon will be updated, which according to Bungie's maintenance graphic says that ONLY Destiny 2 is getting a update.

Go follow the link again kiddo. Destiny 1 and 2. Clearly stated. Multiple days. Multiple updates in preparation. That means source code updates on the servers for the players. Perhaps you need to "comprehend" things better millennial.

Yes multiple days of prep for Destiny 2. Why do you think they do maintenance before a update on Tuesday? Monday they do maintenance on their servers to prep for a update, on Tuesday they launch a big update, Wednesday - Friday they do screening and read off the bugs/glitches that were found and on the weekends they do overtime to polish out smaller bugs to be fixed. Following Monday they fix the bugs so that on Tuesday they patch. You clearly don't understand how maintenance and updating code works in the software world. Destiny 1 has stopped being updated since the release of Destiny 2, they stopped making content. It's only been maintenance on the servers for Destiny 1 due to the fact that they use the same servers to run both Destiny 1 and Destiny 2.
