Definitely neither.
Pokémon has always been mediocre at best, and with the last two Pokémon games I played, Game Freak went two steps further and made them garbage. Which is a shame, because Pokémon still has some of the best creature design out there.

Pokémon - Let's Go: Pikachu Pokémon - Ultra Moon In the interest of fairness and objectivity - garbage was a little harsh. They were both bad, though. About 4/10.

Yeah the Let’s Go games were pretty bad. And though I enjoyed USUM, I will say that they weren’t different enough from their source games to be considered any good. So I agree on that point too.

I didn't play original Sun and Moon, so my opinion on UM is purely on its own merits.
