You really think difficulty is a problem? I matchmade to Reckoning only when play my hunter in the end of Drifter season. And three times of five I started alone or with one random. Same for Forges and I can't even remember how many times I found myself alone in Blind Well. The problem of Bungie MM is this thing is broken and noone wanna fix this. And yes, I agree Raids are something you can't MM cause of it's mechanics. But Nightfall, Heroic Managerie etc. are absolutly fine with randoms. But for some reason there are no MM to this activity. Same as for Whisper, Zero Hour etc. I mean, you could beat ZH alone. So no matter what randoms you will get, you will be fine.
