You know how everyone went crazy about how great the Outbreak Prime mission was?
It was financed by Eververse.
So you see why they're keeping it around.

If two skins for an old weapon funded one mission I wonder what the raid jackets, and other bungie store purchases funded? Those raid jackets sell like hot cakes when they’re accomplished, and they ain’t cheap..
-
Yes yes, eververse funded something the size and scope of something equal to a single story mission hmmmm yes yes goy.
-
🤨 naw bruh it wasn’t
-
If you believe that line of BS, then I have a bridge in Brooklyn I’ll sell you for real cheap....
-
All right then, let's assume that they're flat out lying. Let's forget that doing that sort of thing is actually illegal since it would be misleading Bungie's investors, and a really dumb thing to do to potential investors, but, fine, they lied and Eververse didn't pay for the OP mission. Despite being what has financed non-DLC content since the start of Eververse, but, fine, we'll say they're lying. If you want to be the ultimate in cynical, then you can just say that Bungie is using content creation to justify keeping Eververse around to line Luke Smith's pockets. Point is, it's still -blam!-ing staying. (And, yeah, I kind of believe the public statements of a company that doesn't want to mislead potential investors over some yahoo on a message board who doesn't have a clue how business works.)
