Unlike what the other poster said, it's probably not your hardware - this problem has happened to people even on consoles. I used to have this problem, but then an update came through a while back, and I could tell the first time I played afterwards that the game was finally stable for me. The one thing that you could try is to look in the game's temp folder (where the crash dumps are) and look at the crash reports in there. Find the file name of what seems to be the problem (it should say something like resourcerer:load: Failed to load tag with path '<N/A>' and description '<N/A>' 0x80B7AABF (0x01bd 2751) from package {{w64_sandbox_01bd_0.pkg}} with error 'error bad handle, {{!0x00000006!}}' install type {{!5!}} ) and go into the game directory. Delete that file (in my example, it would be w64_sandbox_01bd_0.pkg ), then run the scan&repair; it will re-download that file. And you should be good to go. Although this is only a temporary fix until such time as you get lucky and get the special update that fixes the game.

  • Sorry, but I'm not sure where to find my temp file. I checked both in my AppData, and in the game's direct files, I couldn't find anything with "temp" in the name. I did find the packages folder in the game's files though, so I can get that step handled once I find the temp folder. I set hidden items as visible in the view options too, but I still couldn't find the folder

  • Like I said, I got lucky and the game's now stable for me, so I haven't had to do this in a while - I might not be remembering the right location. But if I recall correctly for Win 10 it's c drive; users; [your user name]; appdata (might be a hidden folder); local; temp; destiny 2 And then there would be folders in there for every recent (within a day or two) crash you've had. Inside the folder will be several files, one will have that crash data in it, one will even be a screen-shot of your game-play at the exact moment of crash.

  • Thanks for the help, I found the Temp folder, I'll see if deleting the rouge package will fix my issues for a little bit
