Paid carries or whatever disgust me. You could just offer your help in exchange for the fun you'll have along the way, and it'd be totally fine because it's only illegal once you charge for it. Free help isn't against any kind of ToS, as long as everyone stays on their own accounts. Imagine if people were actually nice...

  • Yeah, the majority of PvP business is paid recov. I did get my buddy to recov my account this season for free, because he likes me. The way i look at it, yeah that recov is done at the expense of any opponents along the way, but it's still a human being with a controller/input device using their skills to win. Network manipulation, though unsportsmanlike, doesn't affect anyone who doesn't want to be affected. DDOSing is a federal crime and should be enforced strictly. Be interesting to see what Bungie does to comp in Shadowkeep.

  • How can you even say that network manipulation doesn't affect anyone? Are you telling people to just stay out of PvP just on the off chance they run into it? That's ridiculous. On top of that, whether human or not doesn't matter. What matters is that the human on YOUR account was not YOU.

  • Network manipulation is not DDOSing. Network manipulation is when you get 8 people together (or 7) and you have 2 PS4s that are on the same network so you're guaranteed to match yourself. Then you have the one team of 4 just leave when the match starts so you give the other 4 players a free win.

  • No, that's matchfixing. Network manipulation means manipulating the network to your advantage when you are playing the game, which will affect everyone else in the lobby, whether it's public or not.

  • People like that are very rare, especially when money can be made, I was lucky back in the first time trials was available in destiny , I was in regular crucible and got put with two Canadian lads who were mates and we got talking about trials, I said I was terrible, they offered to carry me, they did so to flawless,

  • Yeah I know and I do get both sides of the argument, the fact is just that one side of it is illegal. Unless all those people doing paid carries are going to declare that income in their taxes.... HAH.
