The answers given to you in this thread are correct.
The weekly Petra's challenge consists only of two bounties:
1) The Ascendant Challenge
2) The Blind Well
Only if you complete the Ascendant Challenge first, will you see the "extra" drops, as you are then fulfilling the Petra's weekly challenge.
The other bounties you are referring to, i.e. Story and 8 daily bounties do not affect Petra's weekly challenge.
The Blind Well bounty, on its own, only rewards you with the Offering. Only when tied to the requirements I noted above, will you get powerful rewards.

I think you and everyone else here is assuming that I did JUST the Blind Well to progress my Solstice set. I edited my original post to clarify. -
It has been a bit difficult to follow each post in this thread due to a lot of copy an pasting of the same or slightly altered replies. I only replied with the information currently available, no assumptions. However, it seems that you are trying to convey multiple issues in one thread... 1) No powerful rewards from completing the Blind Well bounty (which, as established, only gives out the Offering on its own) 2) The weekly rewards requirements for Petra 3) Some challenges not counting towards Solstice gear (some challenges do not count per design, although not sure if these should or shouldn't) So, to get some more info: - After you completed the Ascendant Challenge, did you cash in the bounty? - When you completed the Blind Well bounty after the Ascendant Challenge, did you also turn in the Offering and open the chest?

Oki dokes and thank you for your time. My main question was to find out if I was hit by a bug regarding the Oracle Engine bounty not dropping any rewards or if its something Bungie is doing to phase out old content. I don't want the rewards or anything like that, I was more so just wondering the question above. Them not counting as Weekly Challenges was more-so for informational purposes to let everyone know that they don't count. (I didn't think they would, but it didn't hurt to try right?) We'd do Story Mission and then that was an automatic pop. Then right after looting the Ascendant Challenge chest we'd pop our Ascendant Challenge bounty before even jumping through the portal. Then we'd go do Blind Well and I would even pop the bounty in front of the Oracle Engine when it was done. (Force of habit after that bug happened when Forsaken dropped where you'd lose your Offering if you fast traveled out of the Blind Well after popping the Bounty). Thats been our order since September and we did it that way for our Solstice sets too. 😊 Maybe I'm just unlucky! Who knows, but you and everyone here answered my question as to if it changed or not. -

I did the Story Mission first, then Ascendant Challenge, on all 3 characters as to complete my 50 Bounties requirements on all 3 blue Solstice sets. I also did the Story Mission and Ascendant Challenge first thinking they'd count as Weekly Challenges (which they didn't). I have been doing the same order since September: Story Mission, Ascendant Challenge, then Blind Well. Most of those weeks I'd skip the War of The Dreaming City one unless I was leveling. Can't blame me for asking. I did everything right and still got nothing on all 3 characters. Neither did my husband.
