You'll have to play it to decide for yourself. I just recently got into Reckoning. Tier one is cake. Two and three can be tough, especially three. I run a well warlock, but even then it isn't a guaranteed completion. It is a mode that definitely revolves around wells and tethers. But, I avoided it because I heard it was a nightmare. Then I played it. It wasn't awful. It felt good to succeed, but failing a couple times in a row didn't feel like a waste. Returning to orbit and hopping back in every time I need to get a full lobby is annoying.
