Hmm, this is a signup that I actually have to think about. On one hand, from a non-rp standpoint, I completely support the Republic of Offtopic. You said it yourself: the OT government isn’t a force for good in the sense of something like the BoS, it’s the representation of the people of Offtopic as a whole. An empire simply doesn’t work for us. On the other, slightly more selfish hand: it’s no secret that I’ve been planning my next move since the fall of the Society. This is a war that could shake the very core of Offtopic, and if an Empire should prevail? Empires are easier to attack and destroy than a strong government of the people. Besides, I could even do so in good conscience! The temptation was very strong to sign up with Liam simply so I could betray him. No empire lasts forever. However, that said... I know I must put my own priorities aside for my friends and the unity of the Republic. I’m with you, Ring.
