Mark my word, d3 will only be on new generation consoles/pc. As it should be.

It definitely needs to be with file size limitations of current gen. It wouldn't surprise me at all if the limitations are lifted for next gen with cloud processing becoming more prevalent. I would not count on being able to continue playing D2 content when in D3 when it comes out though. They really need to get a new engine. They should try to sign a deal with Sony for marketing rights and a PS5 special edition (not exclusivity, that will never happen) in exchange for Guerilla Games engine. Sony gets to brand itself as the place to play D3. Basically what Kojima did minus exclusivity.

Bungie is too connected to the console world and playerbase to ditch it. They'll lose too much if they leave and they know it.

Ah alright. But I still dont think they'll do that. They'll probably release it on current gen and next gen like they did with d1, and then leave current gen behind a year or 2 into it.

I hope not. Then they are handcuffing the game development to old specs. If it's truly a new day at bungie, time to start fresh.

Yeah I fully agree. 360 and ps3 held d1 back a lot and it really showed when they released d1 y3 and d2. D3 needs to be on it's own in next gen and pc. I already know I'm getting the xbox scarlet when it comes out, and d3 should be on it as well as ps5 and pc on it's own, but I dont think itll happen.
