I'm also a day 1 D1 player. I think Control in Comp is fine. Just snowball it in your favor. Control and clash are also good for getting more kills per game vs survival or countdown.

Just snowball it in your favour? Like it's that easy? I wish I'd thought of that! What a dick. Control should 100% be removed from comp, people revert back to quick play mentality when it appears and no one attempts to actually capture objectives

Control is one of the oldest PVP game type in Destiny. Do you want any strategy tips? Hold two zones and dont go for a third. Just hold the two and kill the enemy as they try to capture one zone back. Its not that hard especially when you can communicate with your team mates. They tend to only spawn at the third zone, so you can just look in one basic direction. In PVP I try to like all maps and all game modes. If I don't, I don't have as good of a time.
