Help! I stopped smoking cigarettes 38 days ago. Now I start yearning for a cigarette

Why only now I'm yearning for a cigarette? I could smoke 1 cigarette a week right? Or a few on 1 day per week? It's almost nothing. But even 1 cigarette per week would mean I'm a smoker and the toxic stuff would never leave my body, right? Because I would refill it once a week and it takes ages for the human body to get rid of it. And those toxic stuff can cause blemished skin and diseases. I'd bite my ass if one day the doctor tells me: "Sir I'm sorry, but you have lung cancer because you didn't have the discipline to stop smoking 20 years ago." And I'd be a bit disappointed in myself if I threw those 38 days away. But I miss it. It's like a part of my soul and my freedom is gone. Edit: Thanks guys. You help me staying strong. I will resist the urge. 😏🖕 🚬

Don’t do it, man! Realize that your brain wants you to give in, and wants the easy way out. Easy pleasure. But let me tell you this: easy pleasure keeps you complacent and stagnant. By always seeking the easy way out, you’ll never achieve new and greater things, or grow in your character, you’ll just wither away being content with the nothing you’ve achieved. And at the end of it all, you’ll be a statistic pointing yet again to the fact that cigarettes are absolutely horrible to the body and mind. You won’t leave an impact, or a legacy, you’ll have been the “My Dad/Grandpa/Mom/whatever died cause she smoked. She was never really there for me. I wish she didn’t smoke.”
wow that was extreme
Tldr don’t smoke pls, fight the urge Ps. - one little drag or whatever will get you hooked immediately. It’s like an alcoholic getting “just one sip.” After that one little bit, your mind will be so desperatley focusing on trying to get more that you will give in. So immediatley brush off any thought of relapsing as soon as it pops into your head. Say no and move on. cold showers are IMMENSELY helpful
