Base necessity is that glimmer cap needs to be raised. I can only imagine how much Glimmer I’ve wasted over the course or D2 by not picking it up because I was capped, that I could be using in this season. But on to cores. The absolute BARE MINIMUM change that Bungie should make is simply to reduce the core cost of infusion by one core. Legendaries cost one core to infuse, Exotics cost two cores to infuse, infusing an exotic into a legendary costs zero cores. However this still leaves the issue that since cores are only available in endgame content, new players will continue to be entirely unable to infuse because they don’t have a material they’ve never even seen or heard of before. Until they hit level 50 and start consistently getting legendary drops. The change that I think would best suit both the community AND Bungie would be to completely remove enhancement cores from infusion, revert their name back to Masterwork cores, and introduce a new currency utilized strictly for infusion to act as the fourth currency in infusion. This new currency should be directly tied to a couple things: leveling up, playlist activity completions, and occasional RNG drops throughout the world. For comparison, consider the original Motes of Light. Required for infusion and let you level weapons up faster if you chose. Dropped in packages upon leveling up, could be traded for certain other items, and occasionally dropped from engrams. It would bridge the gap between the community’s desire to use cores for MASTERWORKING, and Bungie’s desire to make leveling your gear a little more of a grind. It would also make it possible for new players to infuse the exotics they get on their climb to level 50. Open to criticism. Glad to see you haven’t given up on this idiocy Bungie insists on Lux.

I personally suggested to bring back etheric light. every 10 motes of light would accumulate 1 Etheric light as an example. This would definitely aid the new players and Veterans Greatly! Well said Btw. It is either this or what I suggested initially if it is to remain as one system. Bungie would have nothing to lose and all to gain. will they put in the work though is the real question. wish more players would see this and really understand what it means.

  • Honestly. And even if Bungie stuck to their guns with cores in infusion, the easiest option for them would be to reduce cost by 1 like I said. It would literally half the amount of cores required to infuse a character to max and double the cores a person ends up with at the end of the process. Yet for some idiotic reason they continue to keep it as is and drive away a lot of potential new players and returning players. They’re making good changes insofar. But things in my mind won’t really be turned around for the better until they change infusion.
