This one's for Lore Experts and Conspiracy theorists.
End of D2 campaign, our beloved Traveler bursts out of its cage sending a signal flare (presumably) across the Solar System. Ever since, it has been regarded as "awake" thus giving cause to say we're in a new Golden Age. Got it. Cool makes sense.
But we're coming up on 2yrs since that happened and the Traveler has yet to do anything notable. Hasn't repaired its "shell", didn't receive Cayde, no big elevator so we can poke around in there. It's just....there.
So what does an "awake" Traveler do really?

<The Traveler is a complicated being. It's been going on and on for centuries trying to grow the flowers of its garden into something more, only to be pushed back by the Deep. I don't know if humanity is special or we were in the right place at the right time, but the Traveler decided Sol was the best place to fight back. Its surprise attack drove the Dark back but the battle damaged it. We see the physical damage thanks to the missing underside of its shell, but the Traveler isn't a machine, its a God. We haven't seen the damage that the thing ACTUALLY took. The entity is what's healing, not the shell. Now that it's awake, it's a flame, and it has to prepare us for the moths that are coming to it. The new supers were its only real significant move, and it's entirely possible that it doesn't know how to stop the coming Collapse. It's possible that its previous battle with the Darkness was a one-in-a-million shot and it just worked out. It's possible that, while the Traveler may be stronger now, the Darkness is and always will be much more powerful. It's possible that we canonically need a power level of like 9999 to even scratch the damn things. Either it's saving its energy or is planning something and working out the kinks.>
