[i] Today and tomorrow will be warm followed by rain in the days afterwards. The next week will bring warmer temperatures across Tylva-[/i] It stopped, suddenly and strangely. I was a bit confused but figured the battery had died, so I got up and reached for it. Suddenly- [i] BEEEEEP! BEEEEEP! BEEEEEP! This is an emergency alert from the Grand Council of the Kells. This is not a test. Repeat - this is not a test. The Great Machine is gone. We are under attack by an unknown alien species possessing weapons unlike anything we have ever seen. All citizens are to evacuate the planet. Repeat - The planet has fallen. We must flee. Gather food and water. Designated Skiff Pilots are to gather all residents of their town into their Skiff and join up with a Ketch. The House of Stone will stay behind to fight the threat. [/i] Immediately I got up, rushing around my house for food and medical supplies. After gathering as much as I could in a bag, I ran to where we kept the Skiff, since I was the pilot of our community. Some of the Eliksni and our Servitors had gathered there with supplies. Rajiks, one of my closest friends, looked at me and asked, "What are we going to do?" I replied, "Follow the instructions. All of you should get on the skiff while I make sure everyone is he-" I was interrupted by alien craft appearing over the other side of town. They were black, with green stripes running down parts of them. By this point everyone had gathered at the skiff. I said, "We need to go, NOW! On the skiff!" Everyone followed my instructions and got on board. I followed after the last person got on board and began turning on the skiff, before taking off at full speed for space, while engaging the stealth drive as soon as I could. We followed a Ketch - this one seemed to be communal, as it had no banners - and eventually were able to dock into it. An inspector came on board to make sure any items which could pose a threat had been left behind, which they had. While everyone else proceeded to quarters, I proceeded to the deck. What I didn't expect there was Karsok, Winter Kell. He turned to me and said, "Ah, Koriks. I have heard that you had done our species great services, before this event, this Whirlwind. I hope your military service can do us much good." I, a bit shocked that a Kell had just commended me, nodded and replied, "Indeed. I was hoping to join you in commanding the Eliksni here." Karsok nodded and offered, "Do you want to control the military portion? You were quite the commander back in your day." "I accept your offer, sir. We need a military to survive against others out here, or else we will go extinct." I accepted, writing about this day in my data pad. "Then today will be a new day for the Eliksni," said Karsok. And together we watched space, it's endless void of nothingness except for the glittering stars. I wondered - [i]Is this our destiny? Perhaps... Perhaps. But for now, this is a test. A test the Eliksni [u]will[/u] survive.[/i]
