An exotic rocket launcher is effective in PvP? Well bugger me, we can't have that... Can we?

Edited by Jared_van_Kell: 5/13/2019 11:48:15 AMThere is a difference between effective and so effective that all other exotic heavy weapon options pale in comparison. It is no secret that on console is all you ever see in competitive Crucible, not to mention a good deal of Quickplay as well. The fact is the Wardcliff Coil has now become less an option in PvP and more of a necessity for a lot of folk. That is not a good state for the game. What I am suggesting does not take away from the effectiveness of the weapon in PvP, merely how much ammo it gets. A similar thing happened to the Truth back in Destiny 1.

Well, you have to give up an exotic in order to use it, it may be the best exotic in that slot (for some people), but you've got to compare it to usefulness of other exotics in other slots.

Why does it have to be nerfed? Why not make other exotic heavy weapons more effective? Wardcliff has essentially remained mostly unchanged since it released in Vanilla D2. The only reason it's used so much now is that it's a really effective super counter which is what we need. If supers weren't so uncounterable, there would be alot less used Wardcliffs running around.
