How was your connection before you ran the hard-line?
The restriction wasn't likely based on 1 day. Your matches for the last few months would be more likely.

My connection was "ok" before the Hardline. Between matches I'd get a connecting message but would work and would be able to play fine. So here's the thing about that. I played at launch, no complaints, but left and recently came back maybe a month ago. I think I might have gotten 1 notice 3 weeks ago about a connection report from a player but then didn't crucible almost at all as I got forsaken as a gift and worked on story and pushing light level. I've noticed another reply on this post said they have been restricted as well because of "connection issues" and I very quickly noticed he's the same bracket as me in competitive, there has to be a connection

Your ISP could have changed something on their side. If you were getting connection messages (contacting servers) like you said, you had connection issues. Connection issues might not be apparent to you, but your opponents would be at a disadvantage - everything fine on your screen but you teleport on theirs.

Also, thank you for being respectful about the situation. As you can see there are plenty of people being ugly/elitest about it.

I understand but am still skeptical. My play group would let me know if I was bouncing, teleporting or getting kills I'm no where around.

It may not even had to do with mid-game lag, but as you mentioned with joining matches, you got connection messages that could flag you for causing delays of matchmaking. Just a thought. It could be one thing or another, or a combination.

Very insightful, didn't think about that. Thanks for the post
