It is extremely fair, laggers impact other peoples game negatively. It is not fair for you to rubber band around the screen. Restriction is completely justified

  • Absolutely not. I don't "rubber band" around as you put it. If I fought somebody either I or the person died immidiatly. There was no firing at someone and no damage registration. All engagements were fair and snappy. But according to you, I shouldn't be allowed to grind and obtain items from the specific activity because I have a slower Internet connection, which I can not control.

  • No, not according to me but according to the Eula you signed. You have no idea what you look like on another players screen. If you lag you deserve to be banned

I will check the Eula as you referenced. However: I play with people who live across the country and have never told me that if I was lagging it was impacting their game in any major way. Especially since the incident happened last night with full stability and no issues. And to that end what's not to say the person who flagged me wasn't having issues on their end? An off night for the other parties connection that resulted in them being suspicious and reporting me instead. You seem rather hard headed and unsympathetic about this, considering if you were on the cusp of getting the recluse/lunas howl and you woke up the next morning to: your connection isn't super premium lightning speed, so you can't play for two weeks. How would you feel? Please spare me the higher road and lies slipping from between your teeth about: "O I would be fine and accept Bungie's gracious judgement". No, you'd be angry, confused and wanting genuine answers.

  • They don’t just ban off of reports they actually test your connection, your connection was found to be poor. You got banned. They will not reverse it. Fix your internet or don’t play an online game where it impacts others.

  • You deserve a round of applause, you found away to post what I asked not to do without doing it. I KNOW I won't get the restriction lifted. I KNOW bungie doesn't discuss the details. BUT, I was hoping to start a narrative about the system itself. Because: I don't disagree that there should be steps to there should to better players experiences, but I mean for ALL players. Not everyone has the ability to improve their circumstances. Example: I play on a fairly stable connection but a couple of lag spikes in past games (not last night as I've found zero evidence that my connection was having any sort of issues and the theory among my peers is I had some vindictive people report me and you're obviously not one as you have done nothing to understand my side of the argument, just open your browser and google blanket statements). The other point is it wasn't cheating/botting/hacking, but I'm sure being punished for things out of my control like I had an aimbot on and found myself with a 2 WEEK ban instead of maybe a day or three. That is like a man working at his job but he has spasms/back issues and every once in a while he drops things. And the next day he comes into work, he's on suspension without leave. Does that sound justified to you? Of course you'll respond completely. So I won't bother reading the response at this point.

  • Ok let’s say this: stores be it digital or brick and mortar have a no refund policy on computer games if they are purchased. If you buy a game and your computer is not up to par to run the game you are stuck with a game you can’t play, unless you fix the problem of your computer not being up to par. Your issue is exactly the same, your intermittent internet has caused a ban, which violates the Eula, because it is no up to par, either fix it or you won’t be able to play

  • So I read the EULA and additional articles and I found no where where it said they could ban/restrict my account based on connection. The first time it's mentioned is if you look up their ban/restrictions page, almost as an after thought. I understand what you're saying about the computer analogy which made me realize, directly or indirectly, that I left details I didn't think about such as I play on PS4. But people keep saying "fix the problem" how do I fix it then? I have a good router modem with a Hardline now, I have the best net in my area. So what's left to be done?
