It ruins the perk for PvE though. It's great in PvE right now, so I hope they keep the precision damage buff there.
-
It completely ruins the perk outside of crucible. It's a stupid change.
-
It's a crucible pinnacle.

So are redrix, recluse and mtntop. They're all very good in pve.

And luna/nf will still be good for pve because magnificent howl buffs base damage in the future. With disruptor mods they will still the same damage.

It was the only primary that could reliably kill supers and one of the best in pve. Why change the core aspect of the gun? If you already get three crits in pvp with a 150 then the perk is useless.

It can kill with 2 crit 1 body. It makes a guaranteed 3 tap when you hit 2 crits

I don’t think many players will use the gun for the leniency Magnificent Howl offers, rather they’ll use it for the leniency it still being a precision frame offers. Magnificent Howl is going to be a pretty useless perk—especially for better players. It’d be one thing if it added leniency to a gun that you didn’t have to be half-decent to get, but most people that have the gun can hit three crits with a laser beam. Not removing the precision damage buff would make the gun stand out more as a pinnacle weapon and not just as a mediocre legendary in PvE and an okay one in PvP, especially since the change in RoF also makes the duration of Magnificent Howl effectively less, since you’ll get less shots off in that window. Although it doesn’t affect the gun that much, that’s exactly why it should stay. It’s a fun and interesting part of the gun that doesn’t really make it too much better and so really doesn’t have any reason to be removed in the first place.
