Guys, keep in mind that we, the luna and NF owners, had around 8 months the best pvp guns in our hands. It is time thaat we let others have fun too. PvP wasn't made exclusively for us hardcore sweaters.
I have my luna, I played the gun for 4 months without a break in crucible and I WANT THIS NERF!
Yeah, it took time and skill to get the guns but we had already enough benefit from them.
I will be happy when I can pick up my auto rifles again without worrying about lunas and NF around each corner.
And it is kinda ironic that you guys, which have obviously so much skill, complain about a nerf which would you only force to have EVEN MORE SKILL with the guns or playing guns which do require actually gun skill and knowledge.
I don't want to say that luna and NF are crutch cannons but I feel like all the complainers didn't touched other primary guns since they got the pinnacles. It is time that you learn to play other guns again.

I personally out gun them, people who haven’t earned them clearly show when my HC at 140 with certain perks (see warlock not well enough to name perks) guns them down, I have more problems with telsto and other cheap exotics. If I see a drag/golden gun, I give respect but telesto nope, you’re just there to ruin my fun.

They are just putting a band-aid on a wound that needs stitches. Nerf Luna because, "it's too good" then whats next, Recluse, Ace of Spades, Bygones, Service Revolver, Last Word? There will always be 1 gun that dwarfs all the others. See y'all a week into Season of Opulence when we take up arms on another gun that's "too op"

Sir the answer is not to nerf the weapon but buff other weapons.the weapon will be again rng dependent(service revolver) not skill based luna(I am the headshot step).a month later people will be complaining that rng is bad and they can't get kill clip service revolver. You and the other Luna owners can only keep it as a trophy.150 rpm nerf was enough but nerf to magnificent howl killed the point of the gun in both pvp and pve.the game will be back on the grind for good roles other than earn it. You always have bungies way of buying annual pass and get the next exotic op handcannon copied from d1.

I appreciate your post, I don't have the Lunas or recluse, don't think I'll get them, comp. play list is not fun for me, a player with a k/d of 0.80. However, to nerf a gun is silly, I think the better option is to limit where the gun be used, only on comp. Nerfing it messes with the gun in PvE to. #endallnerfs

They are crutch weapons though. I don't know how many times either I or my roommate played crucible and someone had to change to it because they weren't doing well.

6 RepliesHow can i have fun with all the jotunn and telesto spam? Cheap no look weapon kills are much more a problem than luna load outs. Personally there much worse issues in crucible than Luna. NF isnt really the problem. Not as many people have it. People that have it are likely better than you with any gun they use. All they did is move Recluse to the top of the run and gun spam pool. The crucible sandbox needs an entire retooling. Non 180 hand cannons, bloom, scouts, sidearms, green ammo economy...less heavy. Luna isnt as big a problem as those things an match making. Nerf nerf nerf. Ok. What about the sandbox, what about options, what about play testing before releasing pinnacle rewards into the wild....

I agree and i have lunas. I dont even use it in qp because i want others to have fun. This nerf needs to happen. But i also dont wanna see this turn into hate towards those who have lunas and NF.

When you nerf a gun that Bungie made it "hard to get" people feel as if there is entitlement because they "earned" it. I played normally and got it. Got better with it but usually swap off since it's a cheap weapon. Then during free month time of D2 I grinded the rest of my stuff for NF. Honestly, Bungie should have fixed this gun before releasing it all because it's supposed to be better than the last pinnacle weapon, Redrix, and it was too strong at the time. Hell they NEED to do stuff like this to keep some sort of variety. I play better with Thorn,Ace, ect. It's WAAAY more fun to have variety than stick to DRB, LH/NF, WC/Colony.

It might be interesting to have a mode where everyone gets the same random weapon set at the start of the match. Then it would truly be skill and versatility.

4 RepliesReminds me of Thorn in Destiny, it ruled pvp for almost 8 months before Bungie finally nerfed it. On the same note, for months the forums have been full of Nerf Luna /NF cries in pvp, Bungie finally listens and says they will be fixing it, barely a day later forum's are full of crybabies "please don't nerf my luna" get a Fkn grip.

1 ReplyThe problem is this.. Once ppl get LH/NF they leave the comp. They go pub stomp quikplay. This makes for a bad experience for solo and/or lesser skilled players. I jus don't pvp anymore. And given the weapons that have pvp quest steps, this Is another block. 6stak LH clan farming qikplay is soul destroying 😑

Crucible is meant for everyone to have fun and enjoyment, not for a playground for elitist players to feel like gods while everyone else just feels oppressed and no enjoyment in playing it. If you don't want NF/Luna's nerfed than Bungie would be forced to reintroduce SBMM in order to help the PvP playerbase rebound. By the day the numbers in QP drop because of the barrier of entry has become MUST HAVE PVP PINNACLE WEAPON TO HAVE FUN.

50 RepliesI apologize but you are incorrect. Crutch weapons are easy to use weapons. Landing precision shots, keeping within a certain range vs ape shotguns, and pushing when you are too far takes SKILL. Pinnacle guns should feel like pinnacle guns. Why should i lose what i worked HOURS for, becuase others do not want to put in the time?

I'd get up past 1000 glory and then slide back to zero and back again about 4 times also. The whole seasonal reset for valor is so stupid. 5 resets in one season is absurd. Enjoy the sweat fest that is all modes of crucible. I'm off playing BL2. I won't come back to D2 until they change the crucible meta. So 6-9 months? If they tweaked the sandbox every couple of months they could retain a lot more players. Im also against nerfing these weapons. Buff other weapons to make them more competitive!

3 RepliesI got luna's way last season and I just now got it to about 500 kills. My buddy got recluse last week and he already had pasted my luna's kills. I only pull my luna's out when I have to go against sweats running the typical dust rock/luna's or nf/warcliff who actually know how to aim. I'm pretty skilled with hand cannons, I use duke, malfeasance and thorn even with my sniper. I don't feel like using luna's religiously especially when I can get top of the game board without luna's in qp. I'm hoping that the changes change up the meta a bit but I also hope it doesn't destroy the guns since it took time to get them. I'm currently trying to get not forgotten now and it takes a lot of time and it's literal hell now in comp. I don't want all that time thrown away for me and other players but I want players who maybe don't have the time or skill to get the pinnacle weapons to have a chance and not have to hope that the luna's user sucks at the game for them to be able to win against them.
