Guys, keep in mind that we, the luna and NF owners, had around 8 months the best pvp guns in our hands. It is time thaat we let others have fun too. PvP wasn't made exclusively for us hardcore sweaters.
I have my luna, I played the gun for 4 months without a break in crucible and I WANT THIS NERF!
Yeah, it took time and skill to get the guns but we had already enough benefit from them.
I will be happy when I can pick up my auto rifles again without worrying about lunas and NF around each corner.
And it is kinda ironic that you guys, which have obviously so much skill, complain about a nerf which would you only force to have EVEN MORE SKILL with the guns or playing guns which do require actually gun skill and knowledge.
I don't want to say that luna and NF are crutch cannons but I feel like all the complainers didn't touched other primary guns since they got the pinnacles. It is time that you learn to play other guns again.

Yes, and I just got my lunas less than a week ago and bungie’s already come out and said -blam!- you. There’s better ways to nerf this, or gee, i dunno, buff all the other primaries because most of them are useless.

It’s the players who aren’t the best who have had an “easy” button for crucible that are complaining because this is upping the skill required to use the weapon effectively. Hell, I’m mediocre and hate hand cannons and aren’t very good with them. I messed around with my buddy and his account who had these guns. I felt like I somehow got better because of how oddly effective these weapons are.

2 RepliesThe nerf is a band-aid solution to a gaping laceration that is pvp balance. These two guns are more popular on console than PC. 150-110 rof HC all suffer from terrible bloom so they don’t get used more than the easy shooting of a 180 rof HC. The only HCs I see that aren’t 180 being used are three exotics (TLW, AoS, Thorn). Honestly this probably won’t affect the usage of Luna/NF that much on console because of their ease of use. The change to the perk, magnificent howl, doesn’t make sense. It still three taps except now you just can’t two tap someone. How often was a two tap happening anyway?

1 Reply..... it is not the perk nerf the change of animation means the guns are now bottom of the barrel on console. Essentially the pinnacle of trash. Luna’s is also now useless in pve.

4 RepliesWell, they are nerfing it pretty hard. I don't think removing the bonus crit damage as well as changing it's rpm is a good idea. I think it should at least get like a 10-15% bonus damage to crits so that it's still more valuable than other precision frames while not being outright broken.

They nerfed the weapon, not player skill. Someone dominating you with LH/NF is still going to be able to dominate you with LH/NF. The only thing that changes really is the excuse that LH/NF is a crutch. Now if you’re losing to LH/NF, you have nothing to hide behind.

Some us realize that Bungie developed a pinnacle gun that was very strong but for some crazy reason can't manage to make other guns, particularly other pinnacle guns, as strong but unique. 1) breakneck is the auto rifle pinnacle (albeit from gambit) offering and it doesn't compete because Luna/NF is too strong? No, breakneck wasn't strong enough. (2) oxygen scout rifle is pinnacle but it's not competitive because of Luna/NF? Nope, they made it weak sauce. Forget about the FACT autos and scouts in general are crapped on by '180' hand cannons in general. You see the proper solution was buff the other guns. But go ahead with your opinion that nerfing is the solution. I completely disagree and don't subscribe to the idea that poor design and lack of play testing should be 'fixed' the easy way. Should never have happened from someone with the experience and reputation Bungie has. Really comes across as a band aid while all resources plug away at d3. My 2 cents. YMMV, guardian.

I have it too, got it a week or 2 ago. I completely agree. It’s too easy to use and destroy with. I don’t like the attitude of, “I deserve to crush absolutely everyone in crucible on easy mode.” It’s a crutch I would say. I used it a lot when I got it and it was honestly too easy. Put enhanced handcannon tracker on my helmet. Just had to aim in their general direction. Not to mention people say the quest was hell or something. I can say with experience that Redrix’s broadsword was about 2x worse solo especially without lunas. You’d run into full teams constantly and get destroyed and crushed. All running lunas howl or nf. 5x resets for Redrix was hell. You lunas users know nothing of hell unless you try the Redrix quest without lunas solo. And for what? A piece of garbage on console that’s only good in pve. Bygones beats it out and the recoil is too crazy.

It’s easier to just eliminate the weapons entirely. Quick update no more NF/LH and then the wheel spins to the next meta.
