Blues can drop scrapper bounties to give you one core.
Loot games need shit loot too or you can't tell good from bad. "Impactful" feeling or not: that is how it has always been. Games like Diablo, Path of Exile, Division or Borderlands drop more loot but most of that you will start ignoring and considering a waste of time as well.
And don't forget the enemies in the Forest drop loot too. Legendaries included. Considering playing that a waste of time is only half of the truth just like making cryopod PE heroic may actually be beneficial to people outside their intended goals simply for the major and boss mobs that will spawn.

You realize he's talking about the packages Eva is selling, right? We don't need shit loot in a package that costs 75 essence.

The thing is the shit loot in Destiny is shoved into your face constantly and forced into your inventory to take up room. Diablo you can just set the game settings so you don'y even see the loot you don't want. As this game gets older more and more meaningless stuff will just get shoved into the inventory and take up room. I have so many quests, triumphs single use items waiting for completion I cant even hold half my daily bounties which makes it hard to do activities that complete bounties from different npc's. Why are bounties in the inventory anyway? When they are completed you just click on them and they disappear, its not like its a note of authenticity you are taking back to an npc to prove anything.

Blues won’t drop scrapper bounties after the next update as gunsmith will have bounties instead 🤦♂️

You’re right. There needs to be shit loot but to give sources of materials towards the economy by breaking down and infusion. This scenario however doesn’t respect the playtime for the payout. You can get a blue for doing a public event in 3-4 minutes. 75 essence is a considerably higher commitment for the same payout especially in a running event.
