Spectral Compromise

I feel like it is important to mention that I use spectral as my favorite subclass. I love the predator prey concept you feel while in this super. My issue here is that they say you should take your time to use it to maneuver but then take away duration and health across the board. I feel a balanced approach would be a long starting invis duration with weak resistance but once you first attack the duration timer is sped and resistance is raised. Even if you restealth you’ll still run out at a rapid pace. (Instead of gwisen on extending, it would re enter slow drain mode thus keeping total uptime bearable to fight against while still rewarding skill). This would need the old duration stats though in my opinion to be viable like this. Also I feel like superstealth shouldn’t ping radar like normal invis until the first attack but that might honestly be asking for much. This would solve the massive chain kills issue but still keep the sneak idea alive. Assassin enters a building and rapidly clears it before a sped up time runs out. But they’ve still got time to maneuver until they are ready to attack. I think the 30 second super is good but once the first attack is used then it starts a short duration of time to fight . Also I feel the resistance should be higher when fighting verses sneaking past. So swapping the resistances for stealth vs non stealth would be fitting. Spectral has all power while stealth. There needs to be a tactical decision in place about how a spectral will go about its attack. This is just my opinion but if anyone has anything they’d change I’d love to talk about it. Overall Spectral blades would benefit from: -Long starting invis with low resistance. 30 sec? -First Breaking invis speeds up the super timer (Maybe half the remaining time of when attacking) -First Breaking invis gives a raise in resistances rather than reducing -Gwisen no longer ads duration but returns super rate to the starting speed.

  • Its pretty dumb how they reduce the resistance to 52% which is lower than a RANGED SUPER which can get easy kills from a range. And then they reduce its time even more ..... And then they finish with...we are also looking into nerfing gwisin even more than we already did. But they dont give anything back to make it better in the way it should be played....like actually working invis or not making loud noises when close...or increasing its PvE damage . I already see spectral just being 2 shot by any shotgun and 1 shot by arbelast....which cant 1 shot any other super. Bungie never really thinks before they nerf...just like with nova warp...it needed a small range decrease...but they ruined it for a long time...now they will ruin spectral before they realise they made a dumb mistake again. The only change spectral needed was a 10% energy cost per missed light attack so people coudnt spam it.
