In the sense of a video game gamer. One who plays video games as a hobby. You don't need a certain amount of time played. It isn't some prestigious thing only the elite can be. It's just a name for a person who enjoys playing games as a hobby. It is not a big deal, people need to stop making it one.

But people do make a big deal out of it. So much so that they attend conventions and create news based solely around video gaming, I cite Pax for one... So your saying; it's the same as what Aifos said- simply someone who plays video games as a hobby. Someone who indulges in games as an occasional past time however are not Gamers...

Edited by SpongyMallard7: 4/11/2019 9:45:28 PMIt doesn't have to be a big deal if you don't want it to. If your job is playing video games, you are a gamer. If you play games often enough(not once a month or less, some people just don't have time to play games, but enjoy it when they do) You don't need to be an omega super awesome super into video games to be a gamer. The people who are super duper into video games and the people who love games but only have time to play once or twice a week are both gamers. It's not a big deal to be a gamer, it's just like any other hobby. Some people are more into it than others.
