Anyone who plays video games.
Whether they only play some f2p game once a week on their phone, or spend every minute of every day grinding out some MMO, a gamer is simply someone who plays video games.

Did you read the dictionary definition?
-
Yes, but you said you wanted to redefine it, which is what I did.
-
No, I never said I wanted to redefine it, I wanted to have a discussion on what a Gamer is. Is someone who plays games once a week, a Gamer? How about someone who plays 5+ hours a day?
-
How about someone who plays 5+ hours a day?
Lol! That's a "no-lifer"
-
But are they in the same category; Gamer?
-
Yup! Category: Gamer Sub category: no-lifer
-
Oh, I misunderstood then. But my opinion is still what I said. Nobody should get excluded from being a gamer for some arbitrary requirements. If they play games, they’re a gamer imo, no matter how much that playtime includes.
-
What about Hobby Games- non-video games like board games, card games, gamblers... do they not play games?
-
I wouldn’t call them gamers, no. I don’t know anyone who uses the term “gamer” not referring to video games. They have their own titles.
-
Thats true; bowlers have bowling... etc.
