Now let's begin![/i] Dredgen Slayer walked into his armory. If he was going to kill Malex and Rika, he was gonna need more than his Thorn. He was gonna need a blade. He opened his weapon locker, and pulled out his Worldline Zero. [i]In the Tower living quarters[/i] Rika was sitting on Malex's bed, she looked at him working on her Chaperone. Rika: Hey Malex? Malex: Hm? Rika: You know, I don't know much about your past. I'm kinda curious. Malex: Well, I killed Oryx Rika: Well yeah I know that, that's just part of your "legend". (leans in closer) I want to know more about who you were. Malex: What do you want to know? Rika: Well, what about your heavy weapon? I've only ever seen you use The Last Word Malex: Pick something else. Rika: What? Malex: I said pick something else, I'm not talking about that. Rika: Now hold on, I think I've struck something here. What's your heavy weapon? Malex: (finishes work on Chaperone and hands it to Rika) I said no. Rika: But why? What's so secretive about your heavy? Malex: (Opens his door) Are you gonna keep asking or are we going to the range? Rika: (stands up) Fine. But I'm not dropping this. Malex: (sighs) Yes, I know. Rika: You ready to get out-shot at the range? Malex: Really? You know I'm a master Gunslinger right? The two begin to walk to the range. On the way they have to pass by the Annex, that's where the shadows jumped them. A titan shoulder charged Rika and Malex drew Last Word and killed three warlocks before he got shoulder charged himself, he dropped Last Word. Rika shot the titan while still on the ground. Dredgen Slayer strode up to her, holding his Worldline Zero. Malex saw him coming, he knew he had no choice. He just hoped Rika wouldn't be mad at him for hiding this. He reached for a weapon on his belt. Slayer took a swing at Rika, she closed her eyes thinking she was going to die. But the next sound she heard was of a blade clashing with a blade. The high pitch sound echoed throughout the halls and Rika opened her eyes. In his hands Malex held a mighty broadsword, The Young Wolves Howl. Rika & Slayer: You're an IRON LORD!!! Malex: Maybe... Malex swung his sword into Slayer's, shattering the dredgen's lesser blade. Dredgen Slayer ran for his life. Malex harnessed his swords power, and with a fiery swing he slayed six more shadows. Malex sheathed his sword, only the hilt now showed on his belt, and picked up The Last Word. He turned and fired at three more oncoming dredgens and cast his Golden Gun. The sentinel's shield didn't stand a chance. Malex thought about going down the hall and just killing the Drifter but thought better of it, it would piss off too many people too soon. Malex turned to see Rika, arms crossed and angry. Rika: We need to talk... [i]Back in Malex's room[/i] Rika was pacing the floor. Rika: So when were you going to tell me huh? Malex: Tell you what? Rika: Don't test me. You. Are. An. Iron. Lord. Malex: No I'm really not... Rika: Oh don't give me that! If you weren't an Iron Lord that sword would have just been a big sharp piece of metal! But instead it responded to you! You were able to use it's fire! WHY DIDN'T YOU TELL ME!!!? Malex had faced SIVA, Oryx, Fallen, Scorn, Vex, and Red Legion. But in all his travels the most powerful force he ever had to face, was that of an angry woman. Malex: I just didn't think it was that important Rika: Oh really!? You didn't think that you being an IRON LORD wasn't important!? Malex: Well... Rika: And why wait till now to reveal it? Huh? Malex: Because I love you Rika: ... Malex: When I saw Slayer take a swing at you, and I didn't have my Last Word in hand, I felt powerless. Angry. I needed to protect you, so I drew the sword I had put away long ago. Rika was speechless Malex: I became an Iron Lord when I defeated the SIVA fallen and laid the original Iron Lords to rest. But I was a cocky arrogant kid who swung the sword for the wrong reasons. I got somebody killed, two somebodies actually. I put the sword down and promised myself I wouldn't pick it back up again until I found a good reason to. (looks up at Rika) And my reason is you. Rika: (tears up) Aw, I just can't stay mad at you. Get over here (pulls him close and kisses him) At least I can say I'm dating an Iron Lord Malex: Well there is that Rika: Well It's getting late, I'd better turn in for the night. No more secrets okay? Goodnight! (leaves) Malex: Yeah (takes ring case from secret pocket) No more secrets... In the Annex Drifter: So he's an Iron Lord huh? This, changes things.
