Perm ban ddosers
My whole team just got ddosed and will probably get away with it without any punishments, bungie please make an effort to find and perm ban ddosers.

14 RepliesA perma ban is a bit much to be hit with straight off the bat. Maybe start with a 1 day ban, then to 2, 3, then a week, etc. etc.

2 RepliesThe nay sayers on here are astonishing.. they come out in droves and say ddosing isn't really an issue and hacks and aim bots don't work or are mythical .. but meanwhile over on Apex legends they have surpassed the half million cheaters banned .. sure it's easier to hack, but bungie has never released much data and has trained to community to be hush hush about it and even threatened people who out names of blatant cheaters and forbidden posting of proof of cheating..

4 RepliesI watched a YouTube video other day, may have been True Vanguard but not 100% sure but he posted a video of him putting in complaint after same guy/team DDOS him a few times. Culprit got a lifetime ban. So it can happen.

Half Jackson 5, half Will Ferrell, so you can spot them easily in the street. Run up to them and kick them in the shin, and donkey Punch them in the Neck. Right on their Bungie Logo hot Iron Ban BRAND Symbol. its still fresh and warm as you feel your knuckles grazing over the Crispy scab. Just Run up to them and Fly swat that F8CKER. the single most sharpest yelp, sounds like Maria Carey Bumping her little toe against a of furniture, while stepping on a little kids Lego blocks, Barefoot. It's amazing how many times I'll have a teammate mysteriously drop out after winning the first round. Even if people are just finishing up a bounty, they'll usually stick around for a win just because well why not? It really wouldn't take much to just calculate how often opposing players drop off against possible offenders. I'm sure there's an average quitter's rate, but it would probably be safe to say that triple the average something nefarious is going on.

2 RepliesThey don’t even pay attention to the reports in game it’s pretty sad. I’ve been ddos hit once while playing but I’ve been booted more times than I can count. During a math earlier for this annoying thorn quest I hit a guy dead on with a rocket didn’t even phase his shield he then hits me one shot with malfeasance that doesnt make sense. They need dedicated servers or to drop PvP because the cheating and hacking is out of control.

Was it a DDOS? Did your router shut off and you couldn't connect for a good 10-15? I was DDOSd and the person I reported is still playing, even my internet provider told me it was a DDOS and that I had to replace my router and all.

2 RepliesEdited by Dicehunter: 3/18/2019 1:35:32 AMI'm not sure if I've ben ddosed but I know I've played against some people that were clearly cheating, Being Shot quite literally from across the map with a shotgun and getting headshot and shooting someone 10 times in the head and their health not going down 1 iota is clearly fishy, I don't mind going against truly skilled people but the cheaters ruin the fun and any learning I might get from the more skilled players is completely gone.

4 RepliesThat would explain why my clan and I get crushed sometimes. Just no chance and I’m getting head shoted by a shotgun that’s to far away to make that hit. Chaperone has one hit me from distance plenty of times. I’ve shot a guy point blank range with two shots hitting and he only takes half a shield loss. While I get one hit. If Ddos is fake then I gues every comp match I play is full of god level players.

I got a thirty day ban for a clan name. People who actually ruin the crucible experience should be permanently banned. F-ck them banning me for basically nothing yet name and shame and actual cheating is hardly addressed.

They do this because they can get away with cheating in destiny 2.

I had this discussion with someone and pointed out the facts as I see them. Currently with the point a being doubled for comp you also lose double. You currently gain/lose 60 points. So with the way it's going cause bungie didn't think of this. You win you get 60 points ok fine. You lose you lose 60 points stupid I know and it needs to be gotten rid of. If you are ddosed,disconnect with error code,leave a match,or your team leaves leaving you as the sole survivor you lose 60 points if not more and are threatened or out right banned for a certain amount of time because of these facts. With no loss penalty. You win a match you gain 60 points. You lose a match you lost a match and will continue to play till you win again you gain no points for losing but you don't lose your progress and will continue to play and try to be better than what you are. If you are ddosed,disconnected with error code,leave a match,or your team leaves you you lose no points are probably threatened with a ban or out right banned for a certain amount of time but after the ban is lifted you go back and start playing again. My idea would work and i see how false reports of being hacked or what have you will be made but that would be were bungie makes a system that tells the difference between just leaving and actual net work manipulation was involved and could punish accordingly. But no one wants this no one cares for fairness or balance so we are stuck with the bullshit we have been given.

Dedicated servers would be the best solution, let's hope bungie is going to use some of the money they got from China to invest in some servers.

The infuriating part is the game pretends to try and reconnect to the match when you log back in. Then just boots you again. Bungie needs to work on this feature. Its ineffective.
