Edited by MindfulPizza: 3/8/2019 1:14:33 PMmaybe if open and allowed more options on the private matches , community could help find guys a amazing new version of gambit like 4vr4vr4 , gambit as primevile out , and all 12 out same map , and who know what could be found from that . one guy on team always invader , ect , can get crazy if would open up the private matches to massive settings . like halo days . but then have crossouts video game open public systems , so it the , systems were maps and setting is vote , and people see most popluar vote like youtube and stuff but in game . damn . think if even could have team mate drop out like in darkzone on division and steal the emotes on a jerk team . to get the emotes and join a 5 man team , or solo open anyone can kill person . and this all going on while the primevil need to die . and team with most points damage wins , but can have the one invader each kill loses that team 5% points or something . or team can not damage maxed . we as a community could get crazy and make gambit amazing , if we got the options , because you guys do not got the time . remember at halo you guys created zombie mode in fps . and games because the options were there . just were to slow react , but follow crossouts ways and you guys could build a master piece . but probally dollar late and dollar short .

29 RepliesI really was hoping for the best and wanted to give this a chance... The reckoning is OK but the the armor is HORRIBLE, and there is no reason to even play for it. NO nice looking stuff, instead we get grandma quilts again. If there was at least a short cloak or sexy boots for my female awoken hunter it wound at least be a reason to play it... Right now - Zero incentive Gambit prime is the WORST THING EVER to be added to Destiny — all it is going to do is to promote more asshole behavior vs. enjoyable cooperative play. Getting pissed off in 10 minutes to the point of saying the hell with it doesn’t help anyone.. And I seriously doubt it if I am alone on this opinion... Doubling down on sweaty is not the way to go... !!! A Destiny DLC should ALWAYS include some PVE content: At least 1 or 2 new strikes, 5-10 new stories, a few new locations / areas to explore, and a raid of some sort... WITHOUT this it should be considered an immediate FAILURE, because you failed at least half of the player community. Nerfing guns when we almost never get ammo for them anyway is basically giving the middle finger to the community... and then you pick the most irritating character and shove him in your face as well... WHO / what #%%# is making these decisions??? Maybe ask a difference balance of players before you just go off and literally WASTE an entire dev cycle... Just sad 😞

But only 2 "new" activities which feel almost the same as normal Gambit and EP and a bunch of weapon quests that let us grind the same old content we grinded for years, some unneccesary nerfs and buffs (while there are things that really needs buffs/nerfs) and no changes to the broken economy, rng and matchmaking. Still the same Meta in Crucible (DRB, Luna/NF, Coil). Powerfull gear dropping 1lvl above. No reason for me to play. Bungie is so out of touch with their community.

The most pathetic crap your studio has ever developed Clearly the people you report to started making this banking on Gambit being a big hit. And it's not. This is a dud. -No incentives to win in Gambit prime -Matches in gambit prime are too long because there are too many invasions -Gambit Prime armor benefits are useless outside of Gambit prime -Reckoning only drops armor to help in Gambit prime , but it's supposed to be a PvE hoard mode -Gambit Prime has PvP damage numbers, so it makes the lowliest dreg or thrall feel like Valuus Tuuarc -Gambit devides the community way more than Trials Of Osiris did Not to mention out of left field nerfs without explanation. Why did sleeper ammo need to be nerfed?, Was the cannon fodder complaining ? All in all Bungie has lost touch with it's community, maybe you need another summit, but invite regular players without 100k YouTube or Twitch subscribers. If Division 2 is good in the least, I see Destiny 2 player numbers falling even or below Destiny 1. -
Reckoning is bad first off who put attrition in I mean that was dumb enough but this is also recycled and who also thought we should put a taken vex hydra that has two shields that spin really fast and he shoots the captains black orb

14 RepliesI like the changes and I love Gambit. I like Bungie trying to fiind a balance between PvP and pve. Most of you complaining about private matches don't like Gambit. I personally do. I like the idea of having 4 v 4 clan battles in Gambit and the reckoning was fun as hell to me and my clan mates. Lighten up people Bungie and Activision just went through a bad breakup but is true Halo day one players wanted this all along. Give it some time if you're true Destiny fans. So many of you feel so entitled like they owe you something. This is the reason the damn game took so many different directions to begin with. All the crybaby nerfherders that didn't want to grind for specific weapons or practice to learn a new meta because they got too comfortable. Grow up it's a game and they're doing their best

I really like season of the drifter so far. Gambit prime is actually fun honestly you should just replace regular Gambit completely. What would be awesome is if we had the same new game play loops for strikes and crucible.

2 RepliesI am curious... I had a thought after playing gambit today [I don't really play gambit] Is the gambit schematic for gameplay the FUTURE of destiny. Like in d3 all patrol zones or quest missions will ultimately be a gambit type scenario where opposing "guardians" attack repeatedly? If so... my money will more than likely end with d2. If Bungie is gearing towards a full in PvP experience inside of pve I know I'm not gonna follow that. Some folks love pvp, some don't mind PvP in gambit... I'm the type that hates FPS games but loves Destiny for the enormous hamster wheel that it is to me. But if I have to fend off sweaty other guardians during pve... I'm done. That experience is really gonna suck. Just look at how folks act about HEROIC public events. Now think about sweaty idiots keeping someone from patrolling. No thanks.

2 RepliesGambit prime is alright. The amount of invasions and needing to stick in the circle to dps extends the match far too long though. Reckoning though is straight trash...match making is broken. The fact that you can just randomly join a game in progress is terrible. Then when you do most of the time whoever is in there apparently plays with their feet. I can’t imagine finding 4 people and then flying them in is a hard thing.

I like the reckoning also and the new armor sets hope to see more of these for all activities. Excited for the rest of the stuff to come this season. Let the cry babies cry. My biggest complaint is all the new shaders are so horrible. I’m tired of these black shaders looking like dark faded green

There are a lot of great games out there, I'm not gonna waste my time on the unpaid 2nd job Destiny has become. Hopefully Penumbra will be worth coming back for (very little hope however).

11 RepliesI haven’t played for several weeks, Downloaded the update today, went to the tower, picked up all the usual bounties, went to Titan, did the adventure, one of the same ones I’ve been doing for months, got a 651 shotgun, went to dreaming city, picked up the same tired old bounties, did one PE, sighed, well there’s the new gambit, but gambit isn’t enjoyable for me, logged out, logged in to apex. This is just my experience, not moaning, literally my experience for feedback on how the new content feels for someone who’s not into gambit.
