Just thought: with the new season coming, that means more loot, so what about vault space/collections? Are we getting more vault space? If not, are we going to be able to finally get weapons/gear back from collections?

14 RepliesNot trying to sound like I'm complaining, but what about those of us who don't want to play Gambit? Is there anything outside of pinnacle weapons for us to chase? Imagine if they made a season of the crucible, or a season of the vanguard (nightfalls and strikes). This isn't adding much content, it will be a slower season in terms of player count.

4 RepliesReckoning looked interesting until i heard "There's a timer counting down" and the guys looked like that was something to be excited about. Come on guys, i am sure the feedback was that we wanted it to be based on how long we can actually survive and not let a timer stop our progress. That really takes away the fun of the whole activity in my opinion. This season doesn't look like it is for me sadly, i will be waiting for the next season of content.

1 ReplyAlright, alright, alright... you've got my attention. I just wish I had some space left for the new loot like... 2000 vault slots, for example. I'd gladly pay some Eververse Silver for it. And no, I don't have a hoarding problem. I could stop saving loot anytime, I just choose not to ;)

Unpopular opinion to follow: I’m excited about this expansion. Gambit is far and away my favorite thing about this game right now. I’m mainly a solo player because all my friends are on the east coast and I’m in Vegas. By the time I get on, they have about an hour left. I’m not great at the raids; I’m too jumpy with aiming and I’m not really good at not dying in intense situations. I can do plates/crystals really well in LW but that’s about it. I’ve never not clustered riven and I’ve never survived heart run. SotP is just not for me. I’m not good at any of it. But Gambit? When I play I feel like I’m not a liability. I’m not a mote hoarder. If someone wants heavy and wants to invade? Cool. Go for it. I almost always run supporting roles (tether/Orpheus, BB/shards, MP/Furnace). I actually feel like a part of a team when I play. It reminds me of playing baseball back in the day. I really hope that this expansion builds on that fun Gambit experience. It looks pretty fun. I just really hope that the armor isn’t a weekly powerful drop type thing where it’ll take 16 weeks to get a full set.

It sounds like despite the previous complaints, Gambit is going to become even less solo queuer friendly. Most of what’s coming has to do with Gambit, the new PvE activity is yet ANOTHER activity with a timer....and is tied to Gambit. Can you guys please stop using timers to make things challenging? It’s the worst way to make something challenging. It just makes it annoying.

Who is this "core community" ? Liked the vidoc and I'm looking forward to more content. I don't play all the game modes but there is still plenty of content for me to play and Bungie adds more each season. PS Please remove cores from infusion costs.

Comparison between the comments on youtube and the forums is kinda funny. Thorn seems like it's gonna behave differently, saw green orbs that dropped after each kill it made and then it started glowing

Given all the bits on the roadmap, it is fair to say that this season is not entirely Gambit focussed, as Bungie have said numerous times. Fair play. Sadly however, watching the vidoc, it is clear that the paid for content in the AP for this season is Gambit focussed. Sucks for AP buyers who despise Gambit.

Gambit was already kind of terrible, the new gambit mode is going to be even worse, and knowing the pve mode is also integrated to the new gambit mode makes me not excited for this release at all. Guess I learned my lesson, don't buy any more content drops from bungie until you have all the details... I was going to be excited about Thorn coming back, but knowing Bungie it'll be locked behind the new gambit mode and convoluted way to kill invaders or something... Also, what about Faction Rallies???

4 RepliesSo for those who arent gambit players, what is there for us to do in Season of the Drifter? It seems the activities are directly tied to another and there is no reason to run Reckoning if you dont plan on playing Gambit. It seems you're banking all you're motes into one activity for this dlc. Will old gambit be irrelevant? Besides a pinnacle pvp weapon what else is planned for pvp? It seems that if you arent interested in sweaty Gambit for a month then there is really not much new stuff to do at all. Feeling really concerned with this new dlc.
