Let’s have a gaming music thread.

Haven’t seen any music threads lately and I’m still rolling around ideas for a new gaming thread, so let’s have a gaming music thread! I’ll start us off with the shop music from Jets N Guns 2

  • Let's see... I probably won't provide links right now, bump me or PM me if you want links and I'll try to get to it later. So, obviously Destiny has some good music. It's been mentioned a bunch already so I won't spend much time talking about it. Favorite piece is probably The Last Array, although I do like the piece, Mists of Memory. Reminds me of a song from a show that.... had a good OST and a terrible plot. Speaking of, this is a different show, but I'll mention it because I'm pretty sure there's a game of it. Date A Live, an anime show, manga, visual novel, and probably a whole bunch of stuff, often has some pretty good music. I may or may not only know about this because I stumbled on a YouTube playlist or anything... Okay, but I'm pretty sure there's a Date a Live game with some good music. I'd have to dig a bit to find it tho. Still on Japanese media, Touhou has a phenomenal OST as well. I haven't listened to as much as I'd like to, but some of the more popular pieces like UN Owen was Her or Night of Nights are still good despite their popularity. Undertale and Deltarune, or really any Toby Fox soundtrack, have a lot of fantastic pieces. I'm partial to Battle Against a True Hero and Field of Hopes and Dreams, although he's done a lot of great work. Halo, pretty much any piece from the first few games at least. Pokemon has a lot of good pieces. I was particularly fond of many gen 3 pieces. Zinnia's theme from the remakes is rather nice in any of its forms. A Hat in Time has some good music. Not too familiar with names tho. Kirby has quite a few great pieces. Gourmet Race, Masked Dedede, C-R-O-W-N-E-D, Meta Knight's Revenge, Green Greens- all great. Metroid has some nice pieces, I've always borne a fondness for the Ridley and Meta Ridley themes. Castlevania. Bloody Tears, Vampire Killer, so on- there are quite a few great pieces. I'm not sure about vanilla Terrarria, but the Calamity mod has some great music. Devourer of Gods parts one and two are my personal favorites. Sonic- lot of iconic pieces, although I do love His World from Sonic '06. Soundtrack was easily the best part of that game. Splatoon has some memorable pieces, as well as the Legend of Zelda series, but I've not listened to many pieces and would probably need to do some research. I rather liked Anthem's menu theme from the demo, but I haven't really listened to it much. Oh, mandatory recommendation for Primal Dialga from the Pokemon Mystery Dungeon games. Oh, and Tetris. Also NieR. Hmm, if I think of anything else, I'll add it to the list, or maybe I'll add in some links. We'll see.
