Yeah nope, today may have been the worst day for Anthem and the day it died. That end game reveal... that was a dumpster fire. I never thought someone would out do Destiny 2 in a horrible launch end game but good god Anthem nailed. You are using a Diablo 3 style system for the end game without leaderboards and randomly generated enemies with a massive variety of enemy types without bumping up the AI??? LOOOOOOL FAIL. That my friends is a dead game. Lets not also add in there will only be 3 strongholds in the game at launch. Welp maybe Division 2 will be good.

  • How much endgame did destiny have at launch? Or the division?

  • Does that mean they need to be defended? No of course not, however Anthem will have even less endgame content than Destiny or Division at launch.

  • And you are basing that on a demo.

No, I am basing it on confirmed content that Bioware told the community. We are only getting 3 strongholds at launch, 2 contracts that are basically randomly generated public events per day, and explorable zone. No raids on the time line so far. That is an abhorrent end game.

At launch, is enough for me and many others to avoid purchasing the game for a few months until they get that end expanded upon. The issue is that its EA we are talking about. Say what you will about Bioware but all the additional free content they promise is squarely reliant on EA giving them additional funding. However, its EA. EA will absolutely pull the plug on Anthem if it doesn' t meet sales expectations or come close. Reports are stating they are expecting 10 million units sold. I think that isn't going to happen, with the fact many gamers are sick of EA, the end game fiasco of lack of content, as well as poor optimization on both consoles and especially PC. The game will see significant backlash because of these issues when it comes to sales. The question is this "How much will EA cut Bioware if they miss thier sales expectations?" This is EA, one of two outcomes are likely to happen: 1) There will be a cut to funding that will affect the quality of the post launch content updates and it will expected that the microtransations will make enough to supplement the funding as well as help meet revenue expectations. 2) Bioware will either be split up into other developers to focus on more profitable project leading to the Anthem team being smaller and thus updates will take even longer. Of course there is always option 3 which is they meet thier sales expectations but its not looking like that is the case anymore. I cancelled my pre-order from the EA website, and according to the rep I was with they stated they had a fairly high amount of customers do the same earlier in the day.

Your point is wicked pointless. So you're not gonna buy it.. right away? So what? What is your POINT? You clearly know that it's going to receive updates and your wording implies you will buy it when that time comes. What's it matter if you don't buy at launch? You're literally still spending money on it.

  • IF that time comes. EA will have to prove themselves that are actually committed to this "10 year plan" as well as Bioware's ability to make good post game content. Problem is a lot of people are the same, not counting all of the people not willing to jump in for a variety of reasons outside of just "EA hate". Division 2 is a month later which has already revealed more post game content than Anthem, which also means the Division players will likely also not be getting Anthem. The fact of the matter is its EA, if Anthem doesn't sell enough to make EA happy they will pull out of the 10 year deal. They have done it before, in fact BF5 basically happened that way too. So, this could very well never happen, you might not get much post release content if it doesn't sell well, if it does cool in a couple of months people will be willing to try it out if the end game fleshes out, but the fact of the matter is that if it doesn't sell well the game with be DOA.

How well were they received? Was endgame not a major problem for both those games at launch?

  • Division started out strong till exploiters killed endgame and made the darkzone completely unplayable

The endgame was a 15 wave mission with no checkpoints and shotgun rushers that 1 hit you from across the map. Even exploited gear, did nothing to help. The game was being exploited well before the endgame launched too, it also took them a month to correct something that should of been a hot fix. (Wall hacking with the shield.) The dark zone was a mess from launch with god rolls on SMG's, exploited gear meant you didn't die in a split second. Don't act like exploiters ruined the division.

  • People glitched the end boss for easy op drops, then they flooded the darkzone. Vector health builds 🤢

  • I glitched the end boss then flooded the dark zone. The gear wasn't OP, a little bit stronger than the normal difficulty gear. Trust me, the only thing that mattered was how God rolled your gun was. That and shock turrets since they were completely OP.
